really really interesting medium! although it wasn't super clear at times and I didn't learn everything from the graphic novel itself, it did leave me wanting to learn more and doing my own research which I think is the point.
lighthearted
it was cheesy and silly but that's what I wanted and knew I was signing up for. nothing revolutionary but it was fun and cozy!

loved the faeries and surprisingly loved wendell! emily seemed like good neurodivergent rep but i feel they didnt need to mention as often as they did how she did everything for the sake of research before anything else, such as caring about someone. it got redundant and by the end i think she did do some things because she cared about people first and knowledge second!
adventurous
just as much whimsey and angst as the rest in the series, loved the world building in such a short book!
this was fine, I couldn't get into it that much for some reason

I couldn't put it down! the Martian was my favorite book for years after I read it and I had high expectations for project hail Mary (especially after all the positive reviews) that I was nervous it wouldn't live up to. I'm glad to say that it did! this was so fun and I love the science being just over my head enough that I get it enough to make sense but it's not trying to teach me like a science textbook

this book made me want to destroy humanity as we know it because the future will be nothing but blue if we don't
