I started this book expecting it to be a romance book, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it was just a book about how to live and how to love the people around you. It really opened my eyes to live every day like I'm going to die, and that doesn't mean hiding away to try to prevent it from happening.

I tried reading this book once before but I had to put it down for a while because I couldn't properly focus on or enjoy it. I picked it up again this time and read through it much quicker. I couldn't put it down, I loved the writing and the stories. This isn't only for those that are interested in the Vietnam War.

I liked the mystery of it, but I just feel like the title is a bit misleading. That's probably the point, but it just made me feel like the book was unfinished.

While this book was still pretty good, it wasn't near as good as the first two. It was slower and less dramatic and boring at times, but I still really enjoyed it and I can't wait for the next one. Luckily the end wasn't AS heartbreaking as the last two.

I'm so sad to be finishing this series, I hate to say goodbye to the characters and the world. I liked this book though, it was much more satisfying than book 3 was.

Even though I knew Gillian Flynn was an amazing writer, I was still blown away by this book. She is so brilliant and encaptures the minds of characters so well, as well as having a variety of different types of characters. I was so enveloped in this book, I was literally terrified at some points and couldn't sleep until I finished the whole book and watched some funny YouTube videos after. If you're looking for a good mystery/thriller, THIS is the book to read.

This wasn't my favorite read, mostly because it wasn't really my favorite genre. I thought it would be more action-packed and about the setting, but all I got from it was "cheesy romance." Everything happened way too fast and without any rhyme or reason behind them, and it just made me roll my eyes every other chapter. I'm probably gonna finish the series still, because I'm invested now and already own the series, but that doesn't mean I'll enjoy it.

I'd say this was better than the first book because it was a little less about their unrealistic romance. I like the ties into the Arabian Nights stories, but just the YA twists on it were just too predictable.

I have a strange obsession with WW2 novels and this one is now one on the top of my list. I love getting different perspectives of the war and this one had two unique perspectives. A house wife trying to survive, and a hero trying to survive. Both women, which is so inspiring. I accidentally spoiled it for myself, though, by looking up if it was based on a true story. It is, that wasn't the spoiler, just don't look up the similarities between the real story and the novel until you've finished it. It would've been so much better without the spoilers, but it was still amazing.
