More for "tween" audiences, it was far too adolescent for me to keep interest. Probably great for those not-yet-teenagers. A remarkable difference from his 80s and 90s teen/YA books.

Putting this superb novel on the shelf next to Ender's Game - aka books I want my future children to read in their adolescence. The entire book was riveting, and the dystopia frightening. I love the strong-minded female protagonist, Katniss Everdeen, and I'm anxious to continue the series.
