I'm very thankful that I read the High Republic books before reading this.

I did not expect Orla Jareni to be such a large part of the plot, nor did I expect the references to the Great Hyperspace Disaster or Cohmac and Elzar. Along with that, Obi-Wan comparing Orla as a Wayseeker to Dooku as one of the Lost was really cool to see!

The story itself was great, too. Obi-Wan still felt very Obi-Wan, even if he was more adolescent than we've ever seen him before (which was right for this book). I didn't expect to love this book as much as I do!

Nothing wrong with this book, I just have other things to read, first.
