This was such a beautiful and quick read!! Although I haven't read *too* many books with Merpeople, this is now a favorite!

I was impressed by how Mariella Hunt was able to create so many different lovable characters. Even one I thought I wouldn't like at the beginning based on how the story started ended up to be such a sympathetic character. My heart hurt for Meredith, and I am desperate to know more of her story.

Rose and Peter had such as beautiful, wholesome relationship - I loved the romance and how it overcame hardships. The book also did a great job of addressing real problems of racism and oppression among these groups.

I really wanted some Merpeople-action (lol) and I cannot wait for the next books in hopes of seeing more of their lifestyle!

What Love Can Do tells the story of Jennifer and Matt, rekindling a young love that was almost forgotten. Romance books aren't my usual genre but it was fun to read this after getting to know the author!

I enjoyed the sweet moments between these characters and watching their love for one another grow. It was heartwarming and character-driven. The small New England town was so cozy and getting to know these characters through dual timelines was lovely!!

Hope Forsman did a great job with this debut novel! If you liked Percy Jackson and Greek mythology, you will love the lore of this book. Now, I'm not super well-versed on greek mythology so I sometimes felt like I was probably missing references to legends that others might know well - but I was still able to follow the adventure!

I loved getting to know Cali and her crew - some other favorites throughout the journey included Griffin, James, and Maech! The fighting scenes were really well-written, the villain was intriguing, and I enjoyed the mystery of trying to figure out what made Cali special.

There were a lot of twists and turns on this journey, as well as some really tough betrayals. Hope left us on such an exciting note that makes me feel ready for the next one!

This book was beautiful- 4.5 stars. It felt more like reading poetry than a book because the prose and storytelling was so unique.

The messages and themes are very well done - slow down, be present, trust the journey... It actually helped me personally as I went to manage my own anxiety and stress. By the end I was annotating because there were lines I just had to highlight so I could find them later.

The author is a wonderful person and her heart is poured out on these pages! Thank you Missy for this amazing book!!

I really enjoyed this story! It was easy to get invested in the characters and the romance. Great tension, exciting scenes, and twists and turns!

I loved this book!! I felt my soul reflected in it. After meeting Tasmin on Instagram, it was so nice to get to know her better. Her memoir dives into the experience of being an introvert, coping with anxiety, and learning to be gentle with herself. I relate to so many of these things. It felt good have my perspectives normalized and learn more about myself through the process. This was a quick, thought-provoking read. I'm proud to know Tasmin and so thankful that she shared her story with the world to help others!
