I am not much of a contemporary romance reader but this book may change that!! Stefanie Steck developed two immensely likable characters, Madeline and Milo, who you could root for the whole time.
Madeline and Milo went on a date 12 years ago where they connected with a strong spark until... their terrible first kiss ruined the night. But they grew into strong friends over the years, becoming each other's biggest supports.
The timing begins to feel right to try again. But as barriers begin to pop up with Milo's daughter and a growing custody battle, they have to figure out if this is the "right moment."
Friends to lovers is my favorite romance trope and Stefanie NAILED IT. All of the characters, even side characters, were so lovable and real. There are so many sweet, make-you-smile moments.
This is truly a feel good read. I breezed through it so quickly because it was easy to keep turning the pages! I'm sad that it's over but the ending was perfectly satisfying and wholesome.
Thank you so much to the author for the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I really enjoyed this memoir and seeing Allison's journey through OCD. She detailed the special into intense obsessions and compulsions in such a vivid way. It got a little hard to read the continued decline, as her mental state got a lot worse before it got better. But watching her get into treatment and do ERP to manage her OCD was so rewarding.
If you want an ADORABLE witchy read, please pick up the Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This book was light and FUN!
I'm not much of a seasonal reader, so when I saw a bunch of people reviewing this book around Halloween, I knew I had to get to it eventually.

What an adventure!!! I haven't read any other books yet but Danielle Paquette-Harvey but this felt like a perfect place to jump into her world.
Each of the characters were so unique in both their personalities and their abilities. Elisen the soul nymph, Serena the witch, Matthew the wolf... I could see them all, as well as the woodsy, mystical setting so vividly.
This novel is filled with romance, found family, mythology, and high stakes. It's amazing how much happens in this book given how quickly it goes by!! Since there are "mates" in this book, some of the love unravels very quickly, but I enjoyed the sweet moments and relationships between characters

You all know I love dystopian fiction - and this one was a such a fresh take on a unique world! The brand from the goddess intrigued me and create such tension throughout the novel that kept me turning pages.
While I'm picky about romance, the love story of this novel was so easy to get invested in. The multiple POV helps each character become real and lovable.
Behind the love story, there are mysterious developments happening behind the scenes that make you realize the conflict is bigger than the characters think.
This book is one you can quickly devour, and I was rooting for all the characters and relationships. So many intriguing worldbuilding pieces were planted through this book and I can't wait to get more answers.
I audibly GASPED at the last line!!
Now I need the next one now please!

Normalize mental health books and conversations with kids!
As a mental health counselor, I am always on the lookout for children's books that touch on emotions, relationships, trauma, and other important topics.
The Semicolon is a new favorite.
The semicolon is a symbol often used by individuals who have struggled with depression to represent hope - the sentence could have ended with a period, but the semicolon says it's not over yet.
Our lives are the same way.
Sometimes in dark moments, it's hard to see the future. But there is more to come.
In this children's book, the main character is feeling depressed after losing their dad. They learn through a grammar lesson about the semicolon and find hope in it.
If you work with kids or have kids, add this book to your collection!
By normalizing conversations about mental health, depression, and loss, we can help children feel comfortable talking about it when they need to ❤️

Just like the first book, this story was very sweet and heartwarming. Touched on some important topics like immigration and survivor's guilt.
