chloe liese has done it again!!! at this point, seven books into my chloe liese reading, i shouldn't be surprised.
i loved this so much!!! ziggy was fun and sunshiney and just a joy to read. sebastian was the definition of a self-loathing, self-sabotaging, broken boy who just needs to know that he is worthy of good things. their story was so beautiful from fake friends to real friends to lovers and the slowburn of it all was just perfect!!!!

i am so glad this book exists. i just love it when fun, sexy, ridiculous books aren't afraid to be deep, meaningful, necessary books. sara cate wowed me with praise, but she blew me away with eyes on me. the conversation regarding mental health and depression is such a timely and important one to be had.
the smut in this is truly unmatched in my opinion and the groveling scene in the club will live in my mind rent free for a long time to come. this was fun and amazing and just so so so so worth the read!!!! 5/5 stars obviously

thank you to netgalley and random house for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for an honest review :)
okay okay okay okay. um i don’t even know where to start. i could not put this down!!!! camille kellogg i owe you my life for this one. and you’re telling me this is a debut?!?!?
just as you are follows liz, someone who is struggling with gender presentation, her love life, her career, and so many other things that queer twenty-somethings are actually going through. i am so grateful that this book exists!!! as someone who struggles with gender presentation, liz was so goddamn real and important!!!!
the general plot of the book follows the shut down of the magazine that liz and her roommates write for. the magazine is bought by two wealthy lesbians which brings me to daria fitzgerald, butch icon, kinda grumpy kinda the sweetest person on the planet. their love story is very much pride and prejudice inspired and flowed well from hate to love.
obviously, being a romance, the love story took center stage but it wasn’t afraid to touch on the importance of queer + trans media. just as you are is an ode to the queer community and is full of queer love and queer joy!!!! 5/5 stars from me!!
this was just so sweet!! i loved that the stakes weren't as high as those in the first two in the series. talia and foster had the kind of gradual romance that i love to read where even though their is hesitation you know that ultimately that hesitation is going to go away and trust will be rebuilt. i really liked foster as a character and found him enjoyable to read because he knew what he had done wrong and that he had to fix it. talia my sweet sweet baby i would die for you!! loved seeing the eden sisters' relationship more in this one too.
minerva and colin's love story was just so right!! their general dislike for each other met with the forced proximity of the journey to scotland was exactly what they needed to fall in love. minerva is so relatable as a nerdy hero who has gone unnoticed by men throughout her life, but colin sees her. and boy does his seeing make all the difference. colin, himself, the kind of hero who genuinely believes that he ruins everything he comes near has a tragic past that makes you just want to wrap him up in a warm hug. them. their chemistry, their love, it all felt so natural.
