Not too sure about this one, 3 stars might be just pushing it. A nice short and captivating read, but not a fan of how it was (or wasn’t) wrapped up towards the end. A little too open ended but an easy and fun book nonetheless

Super slow paced for my liking and put me into a bit of a slump but really quite interesting and I learnt lots!

SO cute omg
Loved this!! Such amazing family dynamics that just made you feel warm and fuzzy. Super sweet and just a lovely coming of age read :))

I don’t even know lol.
Such amazing and captivating writing but I feel like it might have gotten lost a little in all the new characters and sub plots and new magical systems and everything. Such lovable characters but I don’t think the ending was quite as satisfying as I wanted it to be. I also thInk there was just a lot of action whereas I just wanted to see everyone chill out for a sec and hang out and be normal teenagers. Regardless, and despite the fact that I kept getting kinda lost, I enjoyed the read and the series as a whole for sure. I also wanted more Parrish/Lynch :(

The definition of bitter-sweet. Very hard hitting but an important story nonetheless. Didn’t expect the ending at all, definitely need time to sit with this one.

Wow, read this in a day, probably less than 6 hours!
Such stunning writing and what a fabulous use of metaphors!! I was annotating basically every page. The short, sharp chapters and writing style really draws you in and strings you along. Loved the beautiful and gentle imagery, starting out as a lovely summer and then unravelling unexpectedly. Love love love
Edit: its the day after and just took my rating down to 4.5, just considering the 'twist' and honestly, while shocking, it left some things unexplained and now that I keep thinking about it kind of confused the plot a little. Still worth 4.5 starts tho for suree
