Another read out of order, but that's not a problem with this series. While all the brothers appear in each one, they can be independent stories as well.
A wealthy uncle with a mischievous streak leaves all his money to his nephews on one condition - that they reform and marry a fallen woman before he dies (which is probably very soon). The head of the family, Jasper, the Earl of Blackwater, takes the lead and heads to the nunneries to see if any of the women there could be paid to play along. This is where Clarissa runs into him - quite literally.
Given her dress and their location, Jasper makes many assumptions, but Clarissa isn't anything like he thinks. She actually quite virtuous and on the run from a horrible horrible guardian. This storyline really added quite a bit of excitement to the story that was very nice. There is a constant threat lurking over her and she is never quite sure who she can trust. This leads to lots of lies of preservation and makes Jasper quite angry at times.
This deception carries almost to the end of the book and it's resolution was brilliant. Even though they don't quite trust each other, they find that they really enjoy each other's company and both wonder what if it would be so bad if their arrangement was permanent. This was a very exciting romance, as was book three, and I loved how the action and romance were tied together so well.

This was a difficult one to review. I loved the characters - they were fantastic. I loved to overall story line. It has some elements that worked nicely together. It just moved a little slow for me.
Lori is a hard working woman that runs a shoe company. I would LOVE to have her job and get to wear all the new shoes - for publicity purposes of course. They sound amazing - there was just enough description to keep them a small part of the story and make me want a pair as well. She's the exact opposite of Dash. She follows her schedule like the Bible, he doesn't know what day it is half the time. He's so laid back and seemingly carefree that it almost starts to get on your nerves. It sure gets on Lori's nerves and she's not sure how she's ever going to be able to work with him on this song idea.
The whole song idea was brilliant. It was a great way to get the two of them together and continue to throw them at each other until they realized they were actually perfect together. There was just a tad too much of the throwing together and running away again for me.
In the background we have Lori's sister and Dash's ex-bandmate engaged and planning their wedding in the midst of a huge scandal. It was a great backdrop and made sure there was always something going on, even when the main characters weren't the center of the all the action. This is a great book - while it moved a little slow for me it may be just right for others.

Another interesting take on a marriage of convenience. Lauren and Mack have known each other for a few years, but never romantically. When they need to find a husband/wife to keep Lauren's niece, Callie, out of foster care, Mack has the brilliant idea of marrying each other. They will divorce once custody is secured and they can both go about their lives. But nothing is ever as cut and dry and it seems at first.
They both secretly hold a flame for each other, but neither wants to say it out loud to the other one. Their refusal to talk about the subject of staying together and how they felt and assuming they knew what the other was thinking was a little tiresome at times, but it also led to some really great scenes near the end when it all came out in the open.
Mack was a great man. Even though he seems to be all about business, he has such a softer side to him, and when Lauren discovers it she falls even harder. There's a lot of drama that centers around Lauren's brother and sister-in-law as they have been lost at sea. The book's ending is full of HEA's and you almost tear up a little bit a few times.

Ger ready for an emotional ride with this one. I started tearing up about half way through and by the end I had tears running down my face and could hardly read the pages through them. It's hard to talk about this one - it's going to hit everyone a little differently and some more personally than others.
Kate has leukemia - she's come out of remission again for the second time so she gets geared up to do her third round of chemo treatments. I had always heard that these really sucked, but watching how they destroyed her system was really an eye opener. Somehow she manages to remain mostly positive (more that I would be able to in her situation) and keep fighting. Part of her motivation is Damian. At first she thinks she needs him, but then she realizes how much he needs her. Now she has to live and keep fighting - or it will destroy him completely.
There is a very sweet love story mixed in here, but I shy away from calling it a romance. It's far more than that. To say Damian is struggling is a massive understatement. And some of the things he puts Kate through and does to himself are awful - it will offend some, but what I saw was a hurt young man trying anything and everything to find a way to make it go away.
Kate and Damian have a very special bond by the halfway point of the book. A bond that you don't want to see broken by anything. This is when I started tearing up - things take a turn - for the worse, and Kate is forced to make a very tough decision. I won't tell you more or I would completely ruin everything. The best part of this book is its capability to really make you feel.
So sit back, get some comfort food and a box of tissues. You'll need them for this ride, and it will be one you never forget.

This was a very enjoyable story. I haven't seen any swan shifters (at least not that I remember) so this one really caught my eye. The lore is pretty basic, but it is also unique. Oliver is royalty in his flock and finds it stifling. When he takes off on his own and gets shot down, he is rescued and patched up - in mute human form - by Bastion (love that name).
Bastion has an old soul. He is more comfortable with his horses than he is with people - perfectly content to live out in the middle of nowhere and take care of his equine charges. Until he discovers a naked man in the barn. Since Oliver can't talk they get to know each other through gestures and written notes at first. Somehow, even with this very basic form of "talking" they get to know each other quite well.
Oliver is torn though. He knows he has responsibilities to his flock, but he can't seem to walk away from the handsome man that has become a part of his life. I have found that M/M romances can be some of the more emotional ones, and this one delivered on that part. I loved both men, and wanted so much for them to find a way to be with each other.

This book started out with a bit of a WTF! moment for me with Kelli in the vet's office. She is definitely one of the most unique and bold female characters I've read about. You'll see exactly what I mean within the first couple pages. She is smart, won't take crap from anyone, and gets what she wants any way possible. Mac on the other hand is about as up tight as they come. At first he comes off as your standard military/mercenary type. Always thinking about the mission and always in control of everything around him. Both our characters have a past that plays a HUGE part in their personalities and decision-making process so far. These elements are used brilliantly to help push them beyond their barriers and really grow.
Their agreement to go undercover as a married couple causes all kinds of problems right off the bat. Mac doesn't seem to have a clue what married people really do, and Kelli has some serious ulterior motives for finding things out. There is a bit of suspense - we are dealing with arms dealing terrorists here - but it's not quite enough to really call the story a romantic suspense. Kelli and Mac's histories keep coming out more and more as the story progresses - sometimes in the absolutely crazies ways. It was one of the reasons I loved this book so much.
This book really was difficult to put down. I loved how the humor just seemed to come from out of nowhere and slap you (in a good, sexy way). I would stop and laugh out loud and have to go back and re-read it just to make sure I could laugh again. You should definitely give this one a try, and if all of Entangled's Lovestruck's are like this, I may be buying a lot more books - just don't tell my family.

The beginning of this book almost had me putting it down. It took me forever to be able to tell the two half-brothers, Slade and Hutch, apart. It wasn't until I started seeing their families around them that their names really started to stick for me - which made some things a tad confusing at first.
Now once I got that little piece of information down, the story was quite good. It was told in a slow, easy pace that seemed to reflect the life in Parable, Montana - a small town where everyone seems to know everyone and things take a long time to change. What I learned of the town was amazing, makes me want to visit to get away from the city and find a little peace and fresh air - and stare at all the cowboys.
The romance between Slade and Joslyn was very slow to build up. But that is what real life is like - it takes time to get to know someone all over again and make the decision to open your heart. Joslyn took a huge risk returning to Parable after her step-father did a lot of damage to a lot of people. She wants to fix what he did - but things aren't always as easy as they seem and she knows that.
Slade is dealing with his own family drama - the kind this small town will be talking about for ages. But he doesn't really seem to care about what the town thinks or talks about. He's going to sit and thing about things before making any decisions. That's just the type of guy he is. So when he sees Joslyn for the first time in years, he's taken aback. Especially by his body's reaction to her.
Theirs was a sweet and slow romance that you really just fell into to. It was a lazy afternoon of lounging in the sun just to enjoy it. I look forward to visiting Parable again to see what everyone is up to and find out who is next to fall in love.

Another really fun one from Entangled's Lovestruck imprint. Addison is a matchmaker that doesn't believe in second chances. She firmly believes that everyone has one soul mate and will never find another. Since hers has passes on, she's sworn off even trying to look for date for herself. Her friends sends her down south to try and find a match for her work-a-holic brother-in-law and things really get interesting.
Addison finds herself falling, but refuses to believe it's true. A good chunk of the book is about her running from her feelings. I enjoy this to a certain extent because everyone does this a little, but it lasted a bit too long and was dragged out a little too far. The rest of Addison's parts in the book were fantastic. She really takes her job seriously - even bringing a dog (and then some) to Caine's house to make him more "approachable". The dog was adorable - I want one (or a dozen) now.
Caine is your typical work-a-holic. He sleeps in the office most nights just because it's easier than driving home between 18 hour work days. It's the family business so he feels like he owes it to his father to prove himself and be successful. He's written off having anything else until Addison throws how miserable and boring his life is right in his face.
There is a good dose of healthy confrontation in this book. It was refreshing to see such real-life emotions come into play and tempers flare during conversations. There is just enough meddling to help things move along a bit - with plenty of lecturing on staying out of the lives of others in response. A real life romance that really hit the spot.

I'm not sure where to start with this one. It had me practically falling out of my chair laughing with so many random and ridiculous things. Aunt Moon Unit (as she prefers to called), the two mean old lady lesbians, a bigfoot hunt, and a reality TV show leave so many openings for hilarity and Robyn Peterman grabs each and ever one of them.
Kristy's story all begins with a lost bet with her best friend Rena - infamous author of the carreer ending romance Pirate Dave and His Randy Adventures. While you don't have to know Rena's story from book one to enjoy Kristy's - there are a lot of small things that really make you giggle that you may miss. Kristy has sworn off cops after her most recent disaster, and refuses to let herself fall any further Mitch the super hunk with a man-butt to die for. Kristy has an issue with her brain to mouth filter around him, so she has some extremely humourous conversations.
Mitch is apparently a god come to earth full of super hotness and sexiness. You don't really get a feel for what he's all about (other than Kristy) since the story is told strictly from Kristy's point of view. I do love how he fights for what he wants and is willing to take some pretty drastic measures, too.
Most of the story takes place on the Big Foot hunt in Duluth. Yes, an honest to goodness Big Foot hunt using the Big Foot bible as a reference for behavioral traits that may leave evidence behind. There is always something going on with the crazy crew Kristy is traveling with, and her life just keeps getting more and more interesting and a very insane sort of way. This book is a great book to pick up and fly through in an afternoon. You really don't realize how much you've read until you're just about done and realize all your characters are about to get their HEA's. Please read this if you're in desperate need of a laugh - even the grumpiest will have to chuckle a few times.
