Cat has settled into life with her six (yes that was six) mates and her sons. However, now that the evil forces that be know about her and her family, they are bound and determined to see her undone. Lashing out with an attach against her son sends Cat into a tailspin trying to find a way to help him. More and more portals are opening and The Nightwolves Coalition is beginning to be stretched thin.
This book ends with a seriously major cliffhanger - and no sequel out yet!!!! I certainly hope Clarrissa Lee Moon plans on finishing this one out soon or I may just go crazy wondering what happens next.

Marco and his two best friends are all ex-cons gone good - mostly. They hard to look out for the people they care about without bending the rules too far. They have their own code of honor that made it almost hard to believe they were once the "bad guys" - at least until they did something illegal...
The biggest draw back in this book for me was trying to keep the three men separate. Their histories and actions started to merge and I'm still not sure if I have it all straight as to who did what. Their plan to find Sylvie's kidnappers and then to seek out revenge wasn't all that complicated so there weren't any tricky details to try and keep track of. But it was still very interesting. This was my first foray into this genre and it was a great starter.

Julia Manulus has concocted quite the crazy scheme to ensure that she is not forced into marriage after her father's disappearance. Her solution lies in the form of a Damon Pontus - who she thinks is a prisoner she has rescued from being crucified. He turns out to be so so much more than she ever anticipated. Damon is certain his life will be over in a matter of minutes, until the Goddess shows up and saves him. His Goddess turns out to be the daughter of a Senator looking for a husband!
Damon agrees to help Julia, but as their ruse plays out he discovers that she is caught up in the very same conspiracy that would have killed him. Damon has also discovered that Julia is not ordinary Roman noble - she's actually a decent person that has begun to care about him - the same way he is beginning to care about her. When their scheme puts both their lives in danger, Damon must use all his considerable skills to try and bring down the conspiracy before it kills them him and the woman he has grown to love.
This was a fast-paced romp through the seedy underbelly of Roman nobility. Full of intrigue and reward, as well as a love that was so much fun to watch grow. It was an interesting look at the class system and the lines drawn between the various levels that almost kept our stars apart.

I'm not sure if I would call this a paranormal romance or an urban fantasy with a touch of love. Either way it was a fantastic book with an amazingly well written angel in the form of Nathaniel - sent to escort souls after their body has died. Nathaniel finds himself drawn intensely to Juliana, who somehow manages to feel him nearby. Even though interacting and influencing the lives of mortals is forbidden, Nathaniel helps Juliana out of a few very tough circumstances.
Add to the minor love story the fact that Juliana has American Indian heritage and some of her extra abilities are starting to emerge. It was a great story - be careful if drug use offends you - it plays a major part in a section of this story.

Ashley has always been able to see ghosts - and now she has recently become the owner of an inn full of them. She becomes attached to a few of "her" ghosts and when she finds out Cristian, a strange man trying to buy her inn, making them disappear she begins to wonder what it going on. I enjoyed Ashley's character, a strong female lead that has her own destiny and isn't afraid to try and take care of herself. I really didn't like Cristian at first - very cocky and arrogant - and he was getting rid of Ashley's ghost (very rude).
But, of course, things quickly sail full steam ahead out of control when an ancient demon comes into the picture. A demon that has quite the history with Cristian. The story picks up the pace very quickly and never really slows down until it's all over. Ashley and Cristian manage to find some time together throughout and some of their scenes are quite touching. I'm interested to see what might be happening next in the series.

Sweet evil introduces you to the perfect good girl/bad boy couple. Anna and Kaiden are the perfectly mismatched couple. She is the good girl - good grades, no drugs or alcohol, prays every night, type of girl. But when Kaiden meets her, he sees her for what she really is. A Nephilim - daughter of a fallen angel that is bound to be spread a bad influence to those around her...but she isn't.
The struggles Anna goes through when she realizes what her destiny is supposed to be mirror those that all teens go through - only hers are on steroids. But there's another side to Anna that is quite the opposite. There is an innate goodness to her that shines through and above all the rest. The story is ultimately about Anna and her discovery of all that she really is. Her romance with Kaiden Rowe is a major part of story as he helps her find both sides and she must finally decide which to embrace.
Filled with fallen angels, their amazing children, real life friends for life, and a lot of growing this book hit the spot for me with something new and original that I hadn't read before. It's one downside was the way Kaiden sometimes acted about himself. He knows what he is and why he is here and he dwells on it a little too much at times for my taste (although this is just a part of his personality) or this would have gotten 5 stars.
Without giving too much away, the ending was such an amazing turn of events that shows Anna's real colors, but also puts her life in danger - leading up into book 2, Sweet Peril, seamlessly. I immediately picked it up and started reading more.
