Wow. Ok. I enjoyed this book a lot. This book is about a Spokane Native American boy who wants something better for his life then what he has on the Reservation.

As a person with a different Native American background, its interesting to see a lot of the things that I have learned about in other tribes. My tribe is very Americanized. About 50 official members (I am not an official member). We don't really do a lot of the things that is common in a lot of other tribes.

One thing that we do have in common with other tribes is alcoholism. The plot was extremely realistic with the issues that Native Americans in tribes all over North America have with alcoholism and feeling like they have nothing but each other.

The author is Spokane Indian so he is a "own-voices" author when it comes to the Spokane tribe and how they handle things.
