This was an emotional roller coaster. You like people and then you don’t and then some you forgive and some you don’t. I don’t want to give anything away but I would love to vote once and for all how all the readers invested in Louisa Clark’s life feel about the other characters
What I will remember most about this book is that this Sam guy was a total psycho.
I didn’t enjoy milk and honey much either but I was really hoping to give Rupi Kaur a second shot and be surprised. Unfortunately the second collection was more of the same and some of the poems felt like repeats from the first. Though there are a few poems in the 250 page book that resonated with me, most of them were eh. Maybe this new age of poetry, the one liners, rambling thoughts, or motivational quotes from tumblr just aren’t really my thing.
I cannot wait for the next book. I am trying to stay calm but I can feel my veins pulsing right now. This book was so much plot and story. Every chapter moved the characters forward towards something. So much stuff I didn’t see coming. All of it amazing. I need book four now.
This was a quick read but a fun side story or background story to the Nicholas Flamel series. I loved those books and read them long ago and recently came across this. Decided to give it a read and was surprised at how much I remembered of the main series.
Glancing at some of the reviews I was worried this book would drag but it was actually really well written and I enjoyed reading it. The twists and turns were a little expected and a little unexpected. Overall I enjoyed it. And I’m glad I finally got around to reading it.
