While I think this is a good look at what can lead to a long life, and not just long, but quality life, I wish the authors rather than just prescribing certain dietary and exercise tips, or encouraging us to find our ikigai, took a deeper dive to address the ways Western culture actively prohibits us from finding a similar quality of life. Many of the aspects of culture in Okinawa do not exist in the US, and with such an emphasis on community as it relates to well being and longevity, it's odd that this book doesn't provide any recommendations on incorporating community relationships in our lives.

This was a quick and accessible collection of stories for anyone wanting to become familiar with the tales of King Arthur and his knights. There were some that I would possibly read in the future in greater detail.

I read this in one sitting. I was so excited for Ilysa and Connor's story and it was perfect! Along with the romance, the conclusion of the plot that was underlying the whole series was really good. It was satisfying to see that come to an end also, along with seeing Ilysa and Connor get their HEA after seeing it teased for the first three books. Every plot and subplot kept me engaged. I loved the dynamic between Ilysa and Connor. Overall I'm sad that the series is over. This is one that I would mention in my list of favorite highland romances for sure!
Moderate: Rape, Violence
there is frequent mention of rape and violence, but it's never on page.

I thought this book might be my favorite in the series, however I think it's actually my least favorite. After two incredible FMCs, Sileas and Glynis, I found Moira incredibly annoying. For so much of the book she just seemed so spoiled and full of herself. I also didn't like the way she seemed to look down at Ilysa. Honestly, Tearlag calling her an ungrateful lass might have been my favorite part of the whole book. And my dislike of Moira eventually bled into frustration with Duncan, because why did he like her so much? The book is still well written, but of the series, I just did not enjoy Moira and Duncan's love story the way I did the others at all.

I really loved Alex and Glynis together! The issues of trust and doubt was so well done! The ups and downs didn’t seem like a typical third act break up but the building of trust overtime and the occasional set back was perfectly paced! This is quickly becoming one of my favorite series!

This is the first I've read from this author and I'm really excited for the rest of the series! I should have hated Ian, especially in the beginning, but instead I was excited to see how he would make it our to our FMC, Sileas, who was amazing. In some ways she was a hopeless romantic, but at the same time she was a strong woman. I loved reading about a heroine who had so much dimension, being strong, insecure, vulnerable, caring. She didn't feel like some trope or cookie cutter heroine. I loved the who gang, and can't wait for the rest of the boys' books.

I was worried because I didnt enjoy the last two books in Thai series as much as I thought I would but Sierra and Xavier’s book was perfect! A great end to the series. I wish there was more of an epilogue with all the siblings rather than a set up or end of another story. There was also a lot more typos and such that were annoying. I don’t know if the editor changed but I feel like the book needed another look.

Browne has such an incredible talent for telling stories. She takes topics that can be dark and difficult and weaves them with such beautiful prose and suddenly it doesn’t weigh you down to read about it but instead inspires you and makes you hopeful. I would absolutely recommend this book!

This was an enjoyable read, but not my favorite from Katee Robert. I think that has mostly to do with I'm not a fan of the tropes. I don't think I enjoy second chance romances, and a lot of the beginning of felt like a big miscommunication issue that was annoying for me personally. I also didn't like Juliette much for most of this book. Overall this was fun.

This was a fun book to listen to on a long drive, and ended up finishing it over a holiday weekend. There were a few times where I was reminded that this book is a decade old, because certain things did not age well (mainly references to how amazing Louis C.K. is and some of the moments that seemed to make light of or joke about sexual harassment/assault). But overall I enjoyed hearing about Amy's career and parents, and friends who influenced her.
Moderate: Sexual harassment
