I was dying for a book about Aulay and it did not disappoint. I wasn’t expecting the mystery to play out like that and it was actually pretty heart breaking. But overall I loved this book. About half way through I felt stupid giddy about the whole gang being present lol. Looking forward to a book about Conran or Rory most now.

I really love the characters and I want to be a Buchanan because they sound like the most fun family ever! I love Edith and Niels together. I keep thinking of these as romances but having read so many back to back I'm realizing how much they're mysteries too. This one felt a little bit unexpected but I still really enjoyed it! If the rest of the series doesn't end with all of the Buchanan boys finding brides I will be heart broken.

After the last book I was hoping for a story with Aulay or Murine soon, and maybe even the two together but having read this one I really like Murine and Dougall together! Murine is a great heroine and I love how clever she is. I’m hoping in the next few books to get stories about Aulay or Conran now, and basically can’t stop until I’ve finished the series.

I wanted i story that centered Saidh and I got it! Usually the ‘not like other girls’ trope would annoy me but I think this was done in the most fun and positive way possible. I love Saidh and Greer. The way they just clicked and matched each other’s energy was perfect. When I stated the book I was hoping for a story with Murine next but by the end I really want one with Aulay. Maybe both!

I really enjoyed this one. I actually really love the little mysteries and even when I know who did it I still really enjoyed watching it unfold. Cam and Jo are too cute and I will raise hell if one of the books in the series isn’t about Saidh!!!

Annabel is adorable and Ross is perfect. This was a shorter book than I was expecting and I read it in one sitting. Honestly if the rest of the series are like this I might not get much else done the rest of the week!
Oh god. This was so cringe. Why are Sikh articles of faith being thrown around and used as weapons. And I don't mean a kirpan. At one point he throws a Khanda at a terrorist. I'm not sure who the audience is for this book, but it's definitely not me. I don't think the story has even aged well in the few years it's been out.

This book was fun to read. I love Henry and Cindy. I forgot it was fade to black but that wasn't a huge deal for me personally. I was disappointed by the ending. I feel like I wanted more closure maybe. An epilogue probably would have made it so that I was more satisfied. Where the book ends, it was technically a happy ending but it just felt unfinished for me. And this book is on the shorter side from the other romances I've read recently so I think there was room for it without feeling like the story was dragging.
Moderate: Body shaming, Death of parent
The MC has lost both of their parents at young ages and their passing or loss comes up throughout the book, but not in any gory or detailed way, but it is a grief she is dealing with.

I’m obsessed with Iris and Declan. I really loved reading a romance where the MCs aren’t polar opposites, but just two people who really fit together. I enjoyed this whole book so much. I couldn’t put it down! Also I absolutely adore Cal and I cannot wait for book three!!!

This was a lot of fun. I had it on my kindle for a while and finally got to it and when I did I couldn’t put it down. I’m more excited for the second book in the series though. Even the brief appearance of Declan and Iris had me so excited!
Minor: Suicidal thoughts, Death of parent
