This is a beautiful book, both heartbreaking and hopeful as it provides an opportunity to share with children the more tragic parts of history. While being sad, it also provides an opportunity to connect and consider the ways many of us are affected by the same events.

I was really looking forward to Lex and Raya’s book! They are both so lovable. Personally there were times where I felt like there was a lot going on, with multiple sub plots. I’m not sure if I just wanted fewer plot lines or more exploration of each of those plot lines. Overall I loved it and I love the way Lex and Raya work through the kind of marriage they want to build. And I cannot wait until Sierra and Xavier’s book!

I loved Kate and Anthony and of course love the whole Bridgerton family. This is probably one of my favorites in the series. Definitely in the top three so far. I think the 2nd epilogue to this story might be the best in the series. It was so fun!
I’m not usually a fan or thriller or suspense but I heard great things and thought to give this a try. I was intrigued by the story but ultimately I found Noemi annoying and I think about half through I decided the flirting between her and her cousin’s husband was enough of an ick. So DNF for me.

I wasn’t a fan of season one on Netflix but heard the book was better. While I might not have found the MCs as annoying in the book, the things I disliked for the most part still remained. I’m not a fan of ‘not like other girls’ FMCs and the beginning of the story heavily relied on how Daphne wasn’t like other women or more tolerable somehow. I also hate the choices Daphne makes and having read the book I still can’t get behind forgiving her. I did enjoy the bits with all the other Bridgerton siblings.
The first chapter kind of resolves that the best isn’t actually a brat. And apparently she’s the polar opposite and just too soft and kind to have survived court at all. And of course the hero who hated her a second ago conveniently overhears this whole explanation. It was just giving me an ick.

The artwork is wicked. The story is fast and it left me feeling heartbroken but also really intrigued. I wasn’t expecting a cliffhanger, and that was kind of upsetting.
I think I just didn’t vibe. There were references to triggering topics and I just wasn’t in the place to explore this collection.

The artwork was so cute and the way the characters were all woven together was so cozy. I loved all the girls and this made me miss my sisters and girlfriends terribly.

I’m pretty sure my brain is still stuck on ‘lies that make real life livable.’ Excited to read more of Giovanni’s work. The forward was particularly helpful as someone who has not read any of Giovanni’s work before.
