My best description of this book would be choppy. I enjoyed the overall plot and the world building but I did find a lot of the plot points happened in the last third of the book and many of them were jammed into only a few chapters. But I did find that as one thing was happening it would jump from one action to the next without any preemptive description

I loved this and the only reason I didn't give it a 5 was I wanted it to be longer. A little more animals and zoo interactions.

Overall I liked the story but I think the narration brought this novel down for me. Definitely didn't see the end coming but didn't love the play structure of the story

I think I missed the point. I didn't find this story to be a horror at all. A bit psychological thriller and a bit paranormal thriller but not outright horror. I didn't get any of those feelings of unease.
