Man...this series is freaking nuts...and I'm digging it!
So Fury is pregnet with some type of monsters. Hawkeye gets kidnapped by Deadpool. Spider-Woman is figuring out what to do. Black Widow is gone into some negative zone or some shit. Hill is...well she's a bitch but that's nothing new. All of these stories began to bounce back and forth and by the end you find out Modor's true intention. HE LOVES SOMEONE!
Good: This series is wacky and insane. I really love the dialog as it's easy and a breeze to get through but packs some good punches. I was actually able to keep up with the plot in this one which was nice compared to the first and the ending is kind of heating up. I wonder if volume 3 will finish strong.
Bad: Deadpool is funny though by staying in more than one issue he was starting to get annoying. As he always does.
Overall this series is just a blast. You have to go into it not taking it seriously and you'll be laughing your way through. I need more series like this inbetween the serious ones to have a good time reading my millions of comics. A 3.5/4 out of 5.

I'm really wishing I like this more. I enjoy Green Lantern. I LOVE Planet of the apes (especially the new ones). So this sounds pretty cool, right?
Green Lantern Hal goes on a mission and you know who, our favorite red/purple face friend Sinesto comes and fucks shit up. Boom, bang, bam Hal falls into a new world filled with...TALKING APES! Not a bad idea. Without his powers this could get good. But then the Apes begin to get rings, and begin to transform to different colors, and honestly by the freaking end it's just a big clusterfuck of apes verse apes, a few lanterns, and Grodd being...a dick as always. Yes, Grodd is here.
Good: I thought the idea was pretty good. Also some of the apes and human interactions were pretty well done and fun.
Bad: The art felt really, I dunno, poor? Some moments really lacked. I also thought the storyline went nowhere and by the end I was just like "oh look, same old bullshit" also the ending sucked because it tried too hard to recreate the original movies but ended up feeling more like that shitty Tim Burton remake.
Overall this is a big old skip for me. Robbie Thompson is a solid writer but this isn't one of his stronger books. A 2 out of 5.

Damn this one was pretty fucking good. Talk about a asshole...besides the fact all the Corps got wiped out I loved this issue.
A solid issue to give birth to Batman becoming the Aquaman of Earth 11. I really enjoyed how dangerous he was to the Atlantis King and his Queen. However, the origin itself was kind of just okay. Overall probably the weakest one.
This is closer to a 3.5 but I'ma bump it to a 4 because Casandra is my Comic Wife. Okay, so let's go.
Batgirl is finding her place in the Batfamily. She's a great warrior, we know this, but can she be the next detective like Bruce? Well the series begins to explore that. It also gets heavy into a crossover event. In the late 90's, early 2000's, Bruce Wayne is framed for Murder. He then becomes a fugitive. That's where Connor (Green Arrow's son) Spoiler, Casandra, and Robin team up to try to clear his name.
So while this is still a Batgirl title and there's some great issues in here, the crossover last 3-4 issues and takes up 1/3rd of the book.
Good: The fights are still highly entertaining and well drawn. I still love this fucking style and it reminds me so much of my childhood. I also really love Casandra and the older she gets the more compelling she gets. The more she feels human. And that makes her super well done. I feel for her, care for her, and love watching her kick butt. I also enjoyed seeing her team up with Spoiler or any Batman moments, they were great.
Bad: The crossover is a bit long and honestly if I didn't read some cliffnotes I'd have no fucking clue what was happening. It barely tells you why Bruce is on the run or the reason, and a half a page flashback doesn't do that storyline justice. Also the ending doesn't feel like a ending but this is probably the last we'll get of Batgirl Casandra :(
Overall I'll miss this series. I fucking LOVE Casandra as Batgirl. I want more of her. I know she's in Detective Comics now and I enjoy he there, but she was able to really shine in her own series. Maybe one day she'll return because to me, she's the best Batgirl EVER!

OHHHHhhhHHH TOM! THANK YOU FOR COMING BACK TO US! WE MISSED YOU!
Seriously. Injustice year 4-5 were a huge disappointment compared to the excellent year 1-2 (and some of 3) Tom produced. However, I kept reading in hopes it would get better. It never really did. Moments of fun, but nothing compared to the start. THEN the announcement that Tom mother fucking Taylor would be coming back for Injustice 2 got me HYPPPPED and for good reason. Tom gets a dark, twisted, dark-verse type universe for our DC heroes.
So Superman is imprisoned. Why not kill him? Well we just don't do that shit. Batman is trying to fix the world. Not in the way superman "tried" but in a more organic way. Let the people recover from the Tyrant. However, not everyone feels the same. A new mysterious evil batman shows up while running with most of the suicide squad. You got Ra back because, why the fuck not. Immortal demon king is always a tough enemy. So batman begins to recruit and build his team for a better tomorrow but is it too late?
Good: The art is great. I didn't love Injustice art all the time but here everything looks crisp and clean, lot of bright colors, but still a dark gloomy feel. The fights between the characters are always well done too and the slight dialog edge tom gives each character really makes you love/hate them. Harley for example is finally written to where I LIKE her when I normally can't stand her. Also, How fucking amazing is Connor. Green arrow's son freaking rocks in here. Also the death here...fuck...was tough.
Bad: The last issue deals with Supergirl and what happened to her. There's some good moments in there but it's the least interesting chapter mostly because we get that all in the game. I also feel it didn't give me the hyped feel I was hoping for like year 1-2 did at the end of their volumes.
Overall this was fantastic. Tom writes these characters so damn well. I love a universe where everything is off limits and when characters bite it, doesn't feel for shock, more for a story reason. For character growth of others. Tom gets it, he just does. Thank you man for coming back. Please stay. A 4 out of 5.

Well here we go. The end!
This is what it all comes down to! Stop the crazy ass scientist from destroying the world (I think!) but we know our heroes will stop them. Because...well we have a crazy evil mastermind leading the Secret Avengers to victory!
Good: The humor is still well done. Got a few laughs here and there. The art is still solid, weird, but works very well for this series. Also the tender moments hit well and I actually love the final scene with Modok and Hill.
Bad: The story is kind of confusing and gets way too trippy. Also, like usual, deadpool overstays his welcome and he gets boring as hell.
Overall it was a decent fun finish. I loved volume 1-2, and this one doesn't live up to those, but it does its job! A 2.5-3 out of 5.

You have to know you're getting into some insane shit when the story is about a "RETIRED" serial Killer traveling the world with his plastic Girlfriend. No, like really, his girlfriend is a freaking plastic doll. I think might be a human body at one point? Looks like her head was swan on but it never really explains that.
So one night these assholes mess with Edwyn (the main character) and he royally fucks them up. After making quick work of them and injuring a major mafia boss's son the mafia comes to Edwyn and kidnaps him. Instead of killing him they need to use him to hurt others. When Edwyn sees this as the only way to get back his doll-girlfriend he agrees but we know that agreement isn't going to last very long.
Good: The art is great. I really love the style, it's slick, yet hits good. It's also cartoony enough where the murders don't feel to gruesome. The characters all play off well and I actually enjoyed Edwyn situation even if it's batshit insane. It's not that I like him, but I found him entertaining. That's the best you can hope for in a story about a killer. Also the ending was solid for what it could have been dumb.
Bad: The girl, no spoilers, who comes in later seems so badly implemented. Too much "willing" to do for a guy who goes and kills people in screwed up ways and talks to dolls. I get he saved her but still...just no. Also the story could have used 1-2 more issues to flush out some background on Edwyn to make him better.
Overall it was a good time. Not a amazing story but a solid fun enjoyable read for horror fans. The art is great, the story is good, and the main character is fun. I say try it out, you won't hate it! I don't think anyway... 3 out of 5.
