While I think the past dragged on just slightly one too many chapters, it still was effective.

Seeing where our girl got her headband was great, and the tragic (and pretty bloody) past of it all gives us light on how the immortal thing works. I wonder if Nasa will be able to make her dreams come true in the end.

This is actually really fun.

Glory Bound (Basically a riff on Captain America) joins the Justice league for a bit. It's hilarious to see Guy finally listen to someone. Martian is losing his grip on the team once more. Hilarity keeps coming and I'm here for it.

As enjoyable as ever. We get a bathing suit self image chapter that's wonderful. We get a sister who just wants to live a normal life and be respected and love. We get a friend knowing how to make someone else feel special. As always, wholesome, fun, cute, and great.

Pretty good but not sure if the subject matter is my thing. Basically it's about people who act out stories on stage by themselves. This starts with a father trying his best and failing and then years later his daughter gives it a go. It's sweet but also not something I'd probably read too often but I might check out volume 2.

Pretty cool 10 page fight with Predators

Man after a knock out of the park first volume of Predator I was excited here but instead got a lot more run of the mill stories that weren't bad per say but overall just decent.

Almost every story here showcased some awesome looking Predators. They hunt, they kill, they scream to the sky in victory. There's some excellent designs here, intense violence, and overall funness to be had here. The best stand out story is the one about a Predator locked in an experiment by humans and gets his revenge. Really dark twist and turns that worked well.

However, if you asked me to name a SINGLE human character I'd be lost. No one stuck out, no story blew me away, and overall it's mostly just action story to action story. I wish we had characters or least a plot to latch on to.

A 2.5 out of 5. I'll bump it to a 3 only cause I did love the designs and kills here.

2024 Review: Pretty much feel the same way. This time though I'll be going to volume 2!

2018 Review: This was...well it was weird as shit yet I read all 300+ pages in one sitting.

So Punpun is this ghost looking creature. His whole family actually looks like these things. However, everyone in the world is normal looking humans. It's not said if everyone else sees Punpun and his family different but I doubt it since they all act normal around them. So this is mostly in Punpun's head, and let me tell you...This is not a kids story despite 90% of it being about kids. Kids go through some crazy shit. After the first chapter ends with someone ending up in the hospital we get to see Punpun's life change by meeting a girl, exploring sex stuff with his buddies, and learning about life problems getting older.

Good: This is a coming in age story wrapped up in some comedy and drama and weirdness and it works for the most part. The characters all feel real and different, the pacing is well done and never boring, and the subject matter is important. I also thought the designs and art are top notch.

Bad: I think some of the weirdness is TOO much and TOO over the top at times to ruin the atmosphere sadly. I also think some of the dialog bubbles sometimes hard to read.

Overall a interesting look into the life of a young boy and his buddies. I can't say this is a classic yet but I'm having a feeling if this series keeps up this will be. A 4 out of 5.

Fun little team up storyline. Getting to see Spidy team up with Iron Man and Black Panther was cool. But the storyline felt a little 'been there done that"

Toga gives her final fight and it's actually kind of beautiful? I really liked the last few chapters with her, and saw her in kind of a new light despite herself still being a tad bit crazy. Then got Iron Man All Might, over the top dumb, but it is damn fun.
