A slow burn that PAYS off, and in such a good way.
Everyone in this town has a gigantic teddy bear looking face on top of their normal human bodies. Everyone acts nice and proper, and the old "Hi Neighbor!" attitude throughout this creepy little "normal" town. But when our main lead has had enough of their shit, and starts putting together things, we go dark....real dark.
I'd say this is worth reading for fans of a slow burn thriller, unease atmosphere, and a impactful somewhat brutal ending. Can't wait to grab volume 2.

I thought Godzilla and Frank Tieri art would be a homerun, but instead it was just solid. I mean the art itself was good, Godzilla looks great as well as a bit scary, which I always miss with a lot of modern day Godzilla. Also have to say I really liked the idea, that this is before the world has been explored, and so we have a lot of searching for the next big piece of land, and Godzilla, well he has other plans. But overall the characters felt a bit lackluster (except the BIG G!) But overall a fun story.
A 3 out of 5.

Excellent issue to show how brutal Hulk is in this universe. The way he used an entire island for his experiment and to see how many people have been effected by Gamma radiation is so sad. Great stuff overall.
A kind of mixed issue for me. Great moment with Jon, and Green Arrow obviously fucking sneaking around behind Amanda's back is great, but the way it was told seem to jump all around.
Little bit more fantasy than I'd like. Basically Daredevil verses a actual demon. The art is solid, I like this Matt and Electra, but overall it wasn't a mind-blowing opening like the last run. But still a solid one.
This was hilarious. Between the Panty issue to getting locked in a warehouse, to Ino being an adorable addition to this team. This is maybe my favorite volume so far, made me laugh multiple times.
An overall interesting title. The art is wonderful. Like a trippy acid filled trip through a dark and almost mad max type area. I really dug the art, designs, and all of that. The story though sadly is where it lost me. None of the characters clicked for me, I felt like they could have had SO much more depth to make me care when someone is in danger or dies. But the art itself makes this a book to read through even if the story can't measure up.
A stronger than issue 1. The fights are more grounded here showcasing Matt's badass hand to hand. I also enjoyed the kids as they seem like a good add in to the mythos. Still trying to see if a villain of sorts will make this run more legendary like the others.
New review 2024: much better on reread. However the middle section and final issue are a bust. Just not interesting. But the Japanese Batman and Indian heroes were great. Art also mixed bag.
Old review 2017: Yep, done with morrison's run on Batman. Besides Batman and Robin he's the worst Batman writer of all time. Goodbye!

Fuck the maker. He's a piece of shit. This was so sad to watch...
