Man I'm really liking these character piece issues. First Tigra and now Soldier. This is wonderful to get a look into their feelings and loss around Marc and also what they're up to trying to defend their city. Great stuff.

So New Warriors was a super big surprise for me. A great team book with some social topics we still have going on today. It helps the team is diverse with lots of different personalities that somehow all connect well even if they disagree on things. Night Thrasher being a standout, way better a character than I ever expected.
The Crossovers and Guest Starring would be the weak point of the series. Everything else? Great! Check this one out before it goes out of print.

Not as good as the last volume. The stuff with thinking she was a baby and acting like one wasn't really my thing. Too dumb. But the stuff with the Valentine's chocolate and the gift towards his girlfriend was really fun and cute.
Okay back on track.
This volume focuses on Plays and how they're created and made. And what's great is you have the original manga creator come in and not like the script at all for the play. This leads to some big tension, and also a great look at the behind the scenes of how things are crafted and made when one media adapts another.
This is the best part of the manga for me, since it's interesting to see all the little details. I enjoyed all of that as well as getting to focus on adults verses the teen actors. But I am wondering if we'll ever get back to the murder mystery storyline?

A solid opening about a guy who's moody and gloomy but wants to climb because it gives him a reason to live?
Basically he doesn't care about shit till he's almost forced to climb a school building and makes it. Now he wants to climb an entire mountain. Like most sports manga, we're built up to learn the fundamentals of the sport, and it's no different here. So I feel once we get past that we'll get to the nitty gritty storyline. But so far it's solid save for the friend/soon to be friend who did a rape joke, not cool but it was 2007 and shit was weird back then.
A 3 out of 5.

A girl who wants revenge.
A old man who needs money to help save his grandson.
Team up as assassin's/clean up crew to kill horrible people. Very The Professional vibes, but the girl has more pep to her step. I wasn't huge fan of having to see her in her underwear, not something I need in my life but besides that one scene this was pretty great, brutal at times, and also some really touching moments.
I'll check out more for sure!

I know a lot of heroes and villains but the big reveal left me more like "uuuuh who?" Then anything. But the rest of the issue was amazing.
This couple would go a long way if they just talked. We get the whole he only cares about fetishes not me. And I get it, it can be a great topic. But it's not cause they're wishy washy about it. Luckily the comedy bits still work and it's cute.
Cool fun first issue. Read the red band one so pretty fucked up deaths. Excited to see more of those.
A lot was happening in this volume. I did enjoy some of it. Especially the feel of always being screwed and the hero having to barely survive and figure out how. I also liked the surprise death. The ending leaves a bit to be desired and an obvious twist but I'll see how it's handled.
