An okay issue. Some cute moments especially at the end with a new apartment move in. And a new costume for a firey lady. But overall just an okay issue.
Still solid moments, John is great in this series as his plot with his mother. But the villain really is uninteresting and sadly takes up half the issue.
Little bit let down with this volume.
It's very cool to see Norman take charge. His plans setting up basically one demon faction to take out another makes sense, and I love the scheming part of this. But I feel we spend too long with Emma stating the same thing over and over again about not accepting annihilation of demons. I get it, and the idea of war is pointless, but it feels like it's said 5 or 6 different ways but they're all the same? It's a weird way to do it IMO.
Overall it's a solid moving along volume but not great like the last few.

Ooooooh here we go!
Actually have to says some of this volume didn't fully work for me. We're introduced to a few new characters, and wasn't a huge fan of their parts. Kind of felt boring there. BUT when we got back to the leads, and their romance grows, and finally words are said, this was mega mega cute. Now we need the first KISS!

HOLY SHIT THIS WAS EPIC AS FUCK!
This is hands down the best transformers media I ever got a chance to view/read. It's better than the movies, better than the cartoon, and even better than the amazing PS3/360 games (War for Cybertron still dope AF though).
This has actual human characters that are interesting. The transformers feel like living creatures and when they get hurt or killed you can feel it. The pacing is near perfect, giving some insane brutal fights where one might not survive multiple times. Art as always is excellent from Daniel Warren Johnson.
This is a homerun and one of the best comics of the year.

Story wise I'm really done with these pirates. But the visuals with the art is great and seeing gigantic ghost ships firing away in middle of New York is crazy cool to view.
Okay we getting back to some good stuff. I liked the racial angle here, and also enjoyed Spectre giving out the pain, but the pacing did seem off here.
This is what I've been wanting.
Spectre has to give a sentence to a woman who murdered her husband in his sleep. But as he learns, this man was an abusive husband to both the wife and child. And when the evilness of that husband strikes, Spectre strikes back. All while a new "villain" or more like a spirit shows up to show Spectre might have to be careful how he judges this next one.

Great art, interesting setting, but overall dialogue feels stilted and a tad boring at times. I think the overall mystery is a unique set up but the storybeats feel WAY to similar to everything else we've read/watched/played for a Batman title. Kudos though to a cool old school suit.
I'm starting to feel the stretch now.
We all know Futaba isn't going to stay with Blondie. It's too obvious who her true end game love in this story is. I did enjoy seeing jealously dealt with quickly and not for volumes but also at the same time this will she won't she, will he, won't he, is starting to wear thin a little too much. A 3.5 out of 5.
