I think this book will probably work better as a volume, as it moves a bit too slow plot wise to advance the overall story. However, I do like the idea here, the Moon Knight vs the Black Panther in a all out war, that part is interesting. But as of now I think I'll wait till a whole arc is done and read it all at once.

I reviewed issue 1 when it first came out and thought very highly, if want to see look below. However, for some reason my review posted on the first volume not issue. Either way though Ultimate Spider-Man volume 1 knocks it out of the park. Peter dealing with becoming Spider-Man as a father and husband is such a simple yet powerful idea that works on ever level to his character. The changes of Jonah and Ben being friends and partners is perfection. The fights are really well done, the dialogue top notch, the family stuff, Harry, everything just works. Ultimate Spider-Man is also a WONDERFUL jumping on point. Don't miss out!

First issue review: One of the best first issues in a long time.

This Peter Parker is a grown man, wife, and kids. But he always felt like he's missing something in life. And everything around him is very different than the Peter we know. Aunt May has passed, but Uncle Ben is alive. Peter has kids. Jonah is best friends with Uncle Ben. And Peter Parker isn't Spider-man...yet. The ending is great and gets me super hyped for issue 2.

A tie in could have gone a lot worse but solid for Speedball and Rage to get a little introspective about the inner selves when fighting doppelgangers.

It's a simple but effective start. The art is great, unique, and I love viewing it. The idea of bullying being the central theme is smart too. I suspect X-Men is made with more teenage, or young adult in mind, and that's okay.

A solid second issue. Great art style. The horror feel is nice. I like the characters but don't love them. Wondering how this will connect to the overall X-Men world eventually.

Think this and Black panther share the same issue, very little plot progression. But some cool character moments and still solid art make this an easy read.

Another strong issue. Waller is a real POS. Arrow flipping at the end tho I knew it. Come home boi!

A solid opener for this 4 issue mini. I like Thrasher as always but so far it's basically him caught up in criminals being terrible. Not awfully exciting but at least he's a fun lead.

Never be a better man if you can't pay the people around you enough. This was a nice switcharoo at the end and made Dwayne a stronger character.

Another solid issue with Night Thrasher beating the shit out of baddies. The story just mostly has him outsmarting and fucking people up but not much more than that. Last issue is the next.
