Local man is still great just doesn't live up to volume 1.
Basically this time we have Local Man trying to figure out a mystery and of course that involves his Ex, and cheating with her on the cop he saved last volume where they finally were becoming friends. So a nice little twist, turny, fucked up trashy story that ends with a "oh shit they do have footage" of what happened and now everyone is screwed.
Really good dialogue, and art is great. Didn't love the weird first issue crossover special but the rest is amazing.

This story about the spider slayers is getting long. And mJ backup story was meh. However black cat looked fine as hell here and I like her new claws.
An okay followup. Peter is mostly dealing with the guy who kidnapped his spy parents back from the dead....so can take it as seriously as that sentence was.
A solid finish. Mostly spidy cleaning up his mess and as Peter his marriage. The backup story with venom is short but fun.
A solid 6 part series but doesn't feel nearly as "epic" as the title.
Basically someone keeps sending robots after Peter to take him down. So each issue is him fighting one, but also beating them with pretty much ease. then he fights a old foe, and that's pretty much it. The stuff with Felicia and MJ married life is good, and art is always good, but the "epic" slayer story is just decent at best.

Eh, not bad, not amazing. Basically Failsafe is trying to make Gotham so safe, everyone is scared. That never works. Bruce uses Tim's help to finally get back on track and hunt failsafe. Basically the big chapter before the finale. A 3 out of 5.
Safe and predictable.
I called this plan on how to stop failsafe the second this issue started. The win feels kind of lazy which surprises me because Chip usually does better. Nice art, and some good bat family moments, but overall meh.

A introspective issue of Bruce dealing with his clone, but also his own mortality. It's kind of nice and peaceful, and enjoyable, despite the weird hand thing, cut off, and now Bruce got a new hand. Not a fan of that.
I'm liking the build up, and the assassin part was dope, but not fully sold on the plot just yet.
Venom just brings fun. Peter is trying to reconnect to his parents who he thought were dead. Venom has his eyes on them. The hunt begins!
