Yep, still loving it. First dates? Maybe. Cuteness is here. Returning back home, bit awkward and all, but seeing people you love and care for again. This is the wholesome manga I need in my life right now.

This is very very weird, also very gay in a interesting way.

So basically the guy on the cover, Hikaru is dead, and yet he's walking around school and talking to people. His best friend knows he's dead and this creature or whatever has taken over his friend's body. And so he puts up with it, since this monster remembers Hikaru's memories but it isn't him. And our lead is also obviously in love with Hikaru, and there's a touching inside the creatures chest that's extremely sexual, but the faces are horrifying, and it's just a weird as fuck manga but still I'm intrigued where we go but don't 100% invested.

This one focuses more on the sports side of things which I appreciate. Watching a bunch of people trying to achieve their individual goals is nice. I think the relationship side of things is interesting, if not short sighted a bit from most of these characters but they are young teens with hopes and dreams in their face verses being romantically involved. I think Karen being a new character introduced help give perspective as a whole and more of an adult outlook I enjoyed. The ending finally moves to something that may be a confession. Let's see next volume!

This wasn't for me.

Heavy DnD vibes, and I didn't mind that, with Thundercats, but with art that felt like it was lacking everything it needed to be fun and exciting. The fights are uninspiring, the story is so simple it makes it go fast, so there's that, but I just barely could get into a non-existent story. I appreciate the advance copy but this one is...hard to recommend.

This one is better than the last. Especially the Black Adam stories and the Question. I feel sad for Renee and just as sad for Charlie. The Lex move is predictable but still exciting to see it come together. 50/50 on the teen titans stuff. The Lobo, animal man, strange stuff is sooooo boring. Easily my least favorite part behind anything to do with the minute men.

A mostly strong finish.

Black Adams story goes fucking berserk at the end, with some cruel deaths, and big brawls. If only Black Adam's movie was half as good as this story was it would have been something worth watching. I also really dug Steel's ending with his niece, some great stuff. Questions stuff was solid, sad, but also worked for me. The animal man, lobo stuff, and Booster Gold storylines were so fucking weird, and nonsensical for me by the end.

Overall solid but not great. 3 out of 5.

Set during the events right after Infinite Crisis, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are no more. Well, not no more, they just not around to lead the world of superheroes. That means others have to step up and save it, but are they worthy?

This was a 52 week event, meaning ever week for a year, a issue came out. It was actually pretty smart, and having heavy hitters like Greg Rucka, Mark Waid, Geoff Johns, and Morrison to write this event/series. And each issue has usually had multiple stories going on, sometimes only 2-3 pages for each character per issue. This was a experiment on DC part, but for most people it paid off, and people ate it up.

We have many threads going on with Black Adam having enough of this world's villains and showcasing what he can do to them on national telavsion. But then his story turns into love when he finds a wife, and soon a brother in law whom he loves. But you know that won't last, but still great to watch and probably the strongest story in this collection.

The other great highlight of this book is the Question storyline. Especially reading Vic's adventure in his early years last year in his omnibus, to watch him again, and then dealing with a very real disease like Cancer with Renee Montaya was wonderful. It was touching, some badass detective moments, and a well crafted ending.

The Steel storyline is shaky at points, but Irons family dynamic with his Niece is solid and the second half kicks into high gear and really shows who Lex is, and if you didn't know, Lex is a loser piece of shit who deserves nothing more than a swift kick in the nuts till he can't breath anymore but that's just me.

There's a lot more in here, but my praise dwindles as we go on. Booster Golds story starts well enough with a lot of interesting ideas but as it gets more convoluted and nonsensical to the point I just didn't care by the last third, and was ready to get it over with.

Then you have probably the worst storyline for me which is anything to do with Lobo. Why? Cause Lobo fucking sucks. But that's besides the point. The storyline itself isn't all that interesting. It's basically Animal Man, Starfire, and Adam Strange trying to get home, which starts off interesting enough with them on a different planet, but never does much and the ending, again, is just strange as hell.

Overall, this series didn't 100% nail the feeling of "other heroes and their life and fight" for me. I enjoyed parts a lot, like I mentioned, but this is 52 issues, with so many storylines, and the duds are really, well, boring for me. And I could care less what some of these characters were doing, and minute men are never good, we don't need them here. But yeah overall, it's a interesting experiment, and most people seem to love this book, but I guess I'm the odd one out on this one. A 2.5 out of 5.

Well written and great art can't elevate this story though.

Basically the human target drinks poison meant for Lex. he then has to find out who tried to kill Lex, which in return is who is killing him. It's somber, dark, depressing, sometimes funny, but not all that interesting. Could be because Chase, our hero, isn't very interesting. It could be because this 12 days to die, 1 day per issue, just feels really slow.

Overall it's just a decent book that should/could have been great and I think that's the sad part. A 3 out of 5.

This is easily the best thing I've read from Venditti.

Basically Hal is the only Green Lantern around and Sinestro has taken over the galaxy with his agents of fear. However, it is mostly ran by his daughter who is trying to use the Sinestro corps for good. However, we know that won't last long, and when Sinestro gets his ultimate power back he's near unstoppable. Hal decides to go after him and then suddenly Guy, John, and all the other Lanterns also return.

This is rebirth's first volume, so the idea is to bring hope back. And Hal does that, and probably in one of his more badass moments. He uses his own Will to form his suit. And in doing so he goes head on with Sinestro in a big ass brawl that's fun to watch and exciting to see. Guy is also pretty great here, got a good few chuckles.

McFarlane in the 90's was one of the biggest artist in the world. And So Marvel gave the man the key to the Kingdom. Make your own Spidy adventure. And after selling a shit load of issues for issue 1, Spider-Man torment completed with 5 issues.

This is a weird one. The art for the most part is pretty solid, lot of extreme moments, but some really great poses too. Sometimes there is a bit too much going on but for the most part the art is the big selling point on this book.

The story is weird and for sure drags. While Mcfarlane is talented artist and a great business man, he's not the best storytelling. The Lizard is the villain of this story but there's someone pulling his strings. And Spidy goes head to head with them both and barely surviving.

Overall okayish story with some great art makes a solid enough entry into the Spider-Man world. A 3 out of 5.
