A solid ending to the first arc. I like that Superman believes his villains, most of them, can turn around. Gives hope, which works well. Poor Tracey though.
Get little deeper into the mystery, towns folks being assholes and attacking people, and kids being dicks. All good times.
I did not like this collection much at all. Some excellent covers and such, but beyond that, this was a drag to read through from writers I USUALLY really enjoy. A 1 out of 5.
Fucking weird, but kind of a fun quick read.
Got a dude living alone, he's a ninja, in modern day Tokyo. And one day someone comes by and gives him a mission to be a undercover student. Very JumpStreet 21 but before he does he decides to hang out with his drunk neighbor who's a cutie, then his other neighbor who stole a bra, and also a guy going around town wanting to be a ninja and slicing dicks off people.
I don't know how to describe this other than weird as shit, yet strangely entertaining. Glad Hoopla started adding some manga on it to read.

This was pretty rough.
Basically makes the first volume pointless as a return character ruins a death. That put a sour taste in my mouth, then it only gets more boring as it goes on. Another fight back my own country men storyline that ultimately leads up to, you guessed it, Black Panther leaving. It's boring, the fights with the avengers didn't do much for me at all, and it all felt kind of pointless.
This one failed to live up to the first volume or the series in general. A 1.5 out of 5.

The middle is so much better than previous volumes, but the last two issues get messy and dumb.
The start isn't bad. Bringing in "The Curse" which is a villain of sorts to try and hunt Spawn was both fun and turns to a brutal fight which Spawn takes care of him with viciousness I love to see. Wanda also comes into Spawn's life some more in a interesting way. The middle issues dealing with child abuse are really dark but well done. The issue with Racism is solid though a bit unsatisfying in the end. Guess that's life. The final two issues deal with the Redeemer and it's just okay...kind of got wonky and dumb.
