Some solid stuff. The opening of this book is great. Basically, ending volume 1 of stormwatch before second series begins. Some good issues, though, some very slow ones. The best stuff was with Midnighter and Apollo.

This is a lot of moving pieces, and I was a tad bit let down, but it still started to come together at the end.

Basically this is all the other heroes not the big 3 (Supes/Bat/WW) dealing with the aftermath of Infinite Crisis. We have Ralph mourning the death of his wife while a cult is saying they can resurrect her, Booster Gold being a piece of shit fame chaser, John Iron is dealing with his niece siding with Lex Luthor, Black Adam murdering villains, and Renee teaming up with Question to find out what's happening around town. A lot of threads, jumping around, and while it's interesting, I think I need to invest more time in each one to see if the pay off is worth it.

Story still solid, really like how Superboy is here, and how he's trying to prove himself being useful while trying to find his purpose. But man, the art style is SO good. It's making it such a pleasure to read.

Betrayal comes quick and brutal. Superboy learns even if others are like him doesn't mean they are to be trusted. The Green Lantern tries to make good on fixing things but that never works out well. We're left with a shitty situation for the boy of steel.

A pretty dang fun start! The art is fantastic, real horror vibe with some wicked awesome looking flow of characters moving. I also enjoyed how the trinity was written here as a unit working together. Interested to see how this one ends up.

Really enjoyable start.

Mitsumi is a adorable character who comes from the sticks. 8 Kids in her entire class. However when she gets there she tries her best to fit in and be herself. A refreshing take on a fish out of water idea with a great lead. It helps though that all the characters in the main group all have their likes and flaws. All of them working on something, and a lot to still be revealed. I also like the fact they touch on trans issues, with her Aunt being one? Very nicely done. All in all, really good stuff.

Holy shit talk about Meta, and talk about doing it RIGHT.

Most time Meta is done for jokes. and it works (See Gwenpool) However, this Meta talks about the dark take comics were taking in the 80s and how we used characters to almost torture them for our entertainment. It's a dark take on dark takes, but works so well as Buddy goes through the fucking ringer here in this volume. Losing everything and trying to get it back, it's done in such a way I can't help but love.

A 5 out of 5. Morrison's best work I read since WE3.

It's probably one of my favorite books to read to my daughter. She loves to say, "If they eat spicy tacos, they do poopfarts!" And I reply with...yes. That sums up a taco bell night well.

X-Force is less gritty than I expected but saying that, it's a damn fun time.

This is the X-men team that gets their hands dirty. I mean got Wolverine as a key player so you expect some bloodshed. However, the nice twist here is the X-men world is invaded by people and the X-Force has to dispatch them. It's brutal, quickly placed, and a shocking ending, that'll hook a lot of people in.

Ah here we go. Some cool action, more about the underworld, and Salem gets to showcase himself and begins to be a interesting villain for wolverine. Part 4 of the sword event has things heating up. A 4 out of 5.
