Around a 3.5 but I'll give it a 4 since it's heading into a entertaining section.
My dude Tom is back and that means evil Superman is on his way. This volume contains the mighty bastard striking and fucking up the world. Everyone has to team up, including a Batman we don't know who reall he is. The ending is leaves you wanting so much more because you do finally get the history of this batman.
The art is great, the characters are interesting, and we have alot of alternative heroes being different races, genders, and more. It's highly entertaining and a step in the right direction. Too bad after the next volume Tom leaves, and I hear the series tanks. Sad day indeed.

Can't even finish this....this is just garbage...not even fun garbage...just straight up trash.
Another good volume about Mark growing and changing. I enjoyed this one a lot because Mark finally goes forward with his relationship. I also really enjoyed seeing more of Allen, even if it's sad what happens. I know the next volume is where I started falling in love with the series but this is a very solid volume of growing pains and learning how to live life.
3.5/5

This volume was heading into a 4 star but that last issue. What in the world ?
So I enjoyed most of the Grid. I especially enjoy the first two issues really focusing on expanding the Justice League and the little three way war between Supes/WW/Bats about what's right and wrong. It's friends dealing with shit and new heroes getting some splotlight. I also enjoyed the fights, as always the art is pretty top notch, and easy to follow.
Then the last issue happened. Now it's not HORRIBLE but it's like...wtf? It's random, it feels rushed, the things that are happening make no sense (unless reading Trinity War which I'm doing next) and what the hell was that ending? Because I don't think Volume 5 will even pick up from where that left off.
See, I'm enjoying JL a lot. I just think some of the issue order and such in these is shit. Either way, fun and entertaining but could have been better.

Wow...I liked this as much as the first if not more.
So we get further into the kids dealing with their future selves. I really enjoyed a bunch of moments here. One of my favorite is Scott meeting Mystique. That evil blue bitch is always a great trickster, and love how she's playing him.
I also really enjoyed all the moments with Kitty and training. They feel fresh, and love seeing kitty as a leader. I'm also a sucker for kids trying to figure out their place and watching them deal with their future and change it is very interesting.
Sure, some of the dialog is still bad (some of wolverines lines make me cringe) but overall it's highly entertaining stuff and can't wait to get into volume 3. Who knew I'd enjoy a X-Men series again, especially Bendis's X-men. A 3.5/5

I didn't like this as much as All New X-Men. I have my reasons, but let's talk about the good.
I like seeing Scott internally battle with his choice. I think Scott is usually a boring character so this twist on him makes him exciting to read again. I also enjoyed the Avengers showdown here, it kept interesting. The new X-Men are decent too...kind of.
Now the bad. The art. It looks really...weird? Like sometimes great, other times crappy, I just never really enjoyed it all that much. Oh and the last issue feels so meh I can't even begin to describe it. Basically it centers on Magik which isn't bad, but my oh my it felt like total filler. We'll see where it leads but I thought it was crappy. Also one issue here is basically already done in All New X-Men except has some different points of view, still meh to have basically same events.
Overall it's not horrible, I'd probably go with a 2-2.5. But it's not nearly as fun as All New X-Men Volume 1-2. So We'll see with volume 2 here.

The series picks up speed, getting into my favorite arcs soon. However, this one is nothing to swat away.
Guess who's back? Nolan's back! Very exciting. To see son and father meet again, on edge, keeps it interesting throughout. I even loved the build up towards it, having one of the aliens make believe he was one of Mark's favorite comic book characters to recruit him to his planet to meet his father. Was great. The fight? Oh shit, it was fantastic. Like it feels like Dragon Ball Z if Dragon Ball Z was bloodier and more fucked up (And also good after freeza Sega.)
The art really shines in that fight and the big splash page was both exciting and fucked up. Get ready for some deaths you wouldn't except. Nolan ain't no bitch he gonna fuck shit up.
The only negative was the side story with the twins. However, it's to set up future things but it's sooooo boring. But Robot made his first move and he becomes one of my faves later for some screwed up reasons, so stick around.
A 4/5 baby! Let's do it!

I think I would have liked this more with better art...maybe?
So besides the ugly art and the dumb as fuck idea to put this in a graphic novel costing 15 bucks but only half of it being a actual story the rest being just pages of random sketches, it wasn't all that bad. It was interesting, kind of fun, but little pointless.
On a world that is based off evil is right the Justice league come to fix things. As they do, they finally realize this world isn't like their own. NO matter how much you try to do "right" the right in this universe isn't what works. It's a interesting take on things and I enjoyed that part.
I also enjoyed the interaction of the characters, all well done.
I dunno though, just didn't grab me. It's good, just not great.

Uhhhh so I really enjoyed the hell out of this.
Okay to break it down simple the end of Trinity War (which was shit) had the crime syndicate come into our heroes universe. They are basically psycho evil versions of our heroes. SO Ultraman is evil Superman. Power Ring is evil Green Lantern and so on. So here they are, the Justice League are gone, and they slowly are taking over the world. Starting with taking out Nightwing, teen titans, and basically telling the villains of the world they should join them.
Pretty fucked up huh? But Lex doesn't like the plan. Nah, Lex's can be a crafty bastard but he's like I'ma stop you fools. He unleashes Bizarro and they make the great teammates ever. Bizarro is braindead basically but he loves Lex and follows him no matter what. You can see the cracks in Lex and how he does care for the big goofy superman zombie.
So Lex's basically teams up with a bunch of Villains to make his own team like Mantis, Black Adam, Captain Cold and more. Batman comes back before all other heroes that are trapped in something the Crime Syndicate did and well, he's Batman. So he uses the tools he had that he planned on saving for the Justice League if they got out of control. You go Batman!
So anyway, why did I Love this? Great art, fun fights, quick moving fun paced story, some amazing moments (Batman with a fear ring on? OMG) and just so many solid moments for my dude Lex, who's one of my favorite villains. This is a easy, enjoyable, fun event that is ten times better than Trinity War (Fuck that garbage).
A very very solid 4/5, some great fun.

This is a good book to read along side Forever Evil. It's not "needed" but it fills in the origins of the Crime Syndicate in pretty fun ways.
The best origins are obviously Ultraman (Superman) and Owlman (Batman) for they have their own whole issues for them. They are both filled with detail and nice strange twist on the original characters. Those two issues alone are very enjoyable.
The other origins aren't nearly as interesting. Johnny comes off as lame and doesn't make sense to be flash in that universe. Atom just a mean bitch. And Grid...well he is a virus, so he's boring. So these issues didn't gel with the others nearly as well.
On the flipside the Machine Men were interesting. We also got a lot of Cyborg time. He's the least interesting character on the team by FAR but he had his moments here. I enjoyed most of his stuff, even if some of it is just long winded. Overall, the ending was satisfying IF you read Forever Evil. Without it, feels...plain?
