A evil computer program made by Batman, to not originally be evil, but to monitor everyone after he learns what happened to him in Identity crisis (Heroes altered his mind/memories) and so this evil computer of course falls into the wrong hands and goes fucking psycho, leaving the world truly screwed if they can't figure out a way to stop it.
Some real tense moments, good deaths, and a sense of dread throughout. A little jumpy, and best read in line with Sacrifice storyline, and also a bitter ending leaves it not feeling completed but still enjoyable. 3.5 out of 5.

A great start to a fun event. Putting into place the Eternals, the more notorious assholeish ones, attack the mutants out of a power play. Not smart...not smart at all. Avengers stuck in the middle. Should be a fun time.
How to fix a poor storyline.
Clone Saga was always labeled as one of the worst times for Spider-Man fans. A overly long event that amounted to pretty much nothing. So Bendis proudly showing off his take on it was scary to say the least...But damn if it didn't work so damn well.
A lot of things happen here, including another important person finding out who Peter is, bringing back a character who was thought to be dead (And in the ultimate universe if you died, you usually stayed dead). We also brought in a new Clone of Peter who's as cool if not cooler than Ben Riley. All this happens while Peter slowly loses his mind on what happening around him.
This is an intense chapter in the Ultimate universe and a lot of changes happen here, including Peter becoming even more loss in his despair. A dark but much needed chapter, and it worked really well to fix the Clone Saga name.
A 4.5 out of 5.

Superman: Sacrifice

Sacrifice starts off confusing with Superman losing his freaking mind. Seeing visions and people not really there till eventually is slowly revealed to everyone and the reader. It's a intense chapter in Supes life, but also effecting the entire universe. Wonder Woman becomes center stage by the end, doing what MUST be done, leading to some truly crazy moments.

The variants is a great Jessica Jones story dealing with a lot of her past, but also moving on. When variants of her start showing up on 616 universe, she has to try and decide who she can trust and who has a angle. It's a great mystery, with ton of character development, and really solid art. I really wish we got another Omnibus for Jessica Jones because she has a lot of good stuff to read outside her original Alias series.
I read Secret Six volume 1 years ago and loved it, so it was kind of cool to read this now and see how it all began.
Basically during the build up to Infinite Crisis, Lex decided to bring villains together to create the Society. So these secret six were formed to basically stop them ran by Mockingbird, a unknown force who tells them what to do. These group of "villains" have to basically survive against the rest of the villains of the world.
It's a lot of fun and while not AS strong as volume 1 of secret six, I think that was way funnier, this is still a lot of fun. Some great fights, funny interactions, and for it being a tie in, it's way better than it has any right to be.

Was okay. Just kind of the run of the mill story. Hawkeye being this happy is fucking weird LOL. But it had some fun moments even if the fights felt weightless and we knew nothing bad would happen to our heroes. What I'm saying is, this is lighthearted fun but could have but more stakes into it to make it more interesting.

This Omnibus is really a 3 parter in my view. This Omnibus collects stories mostly in late 80's to early 90s and is a revival for the series. After the original series ended in the first two Omnibus we had Moon Knight go over to West Coast Avengers for awhile. So this is his first Solo series since the original and...well...let's talk about it.
The first 25 issues, which is a large chunk of this Omnibus, is written by Chuck Dixon, or Charles Dixon (Dunno why he changed his name?) And this has Marc Spector back as a superhero, whooping some ass. And this is a lot more like a typical superhero book, with a snappy Marc spitting back lines of a action hero while taking down bad guys.
This is not the same Moon Knight vibe we've come to expect.
And in a way this is probably a positive. Repeating a old run without having the same vibe could ruin it. Now that I've read enough of Dixon stuff, I believe he's a solid entertainment writer, meaning he writes fun superhero romps even if they are kind of hollow in the end.
Just like his Nightwing and Batman runs, Dixon let's Marc have fun being a superhero. Whooping ass, taking names, a little sexist with Marlene because...of course. Don't have to research much to see where Dixon is now days and who he writes with. But I'll save the political stuff for another day. The writing is solid enough to carry these stories even if they hold little to no weight. We know what will happen every issue, Moon Knight will survive, no big twist or turns.
I will say Jeff as Midnight was a fun character. He's the son of a criminal Moon Knight took down prior and now wants to learn from Moon Knight to be a hero. But he's rash, spontaneous, and of course makes a ton of mistakes, leading to some really fun stories with him.
Then, like some miracle of Khonshu, in comes J.M. DeMatteis with a 6 part story arc called Scarlet's Redemption and it's wonderful. Dark and twisted, filled with excellent imagery at times, and a broken man/woman storyline. When Scarlet returns she is not what she was in the previous stories back in the 80s, but instead a woman who can't seem to find herself and seeks something, or someone, to stop these thoughts. On the flipside you have Marc who's trying to be a better person, help people, even through violence, leaving these two to eventually come head to head in a unexpected way but also letting Marc grow tremendously as a character.
This story harken back to the tone and vibe of Doug's run, and man oh man was it a treat. I loved every moment of this arc and really boosted this volume. I almost would say it's as good as volume 1.
Then in came the Hobgoblin...and it was still solid! Only two arcs but it was fun to watch Moon Knight and Spidy stop a insane bastard that also links back to Marc's story. This was a solid story...
Then Round Robin came in. A overly long team up event starring Spider-man, Punisher, Nova, Night Trasher, and eventually Moon Knight a few issues in. Brings back Jeff in a uninteresting, shittier done, Winter Soldier way, and really this team up is overly written, not fun, and nearly put me to sleep not once but TWICE. It felt like a grown man playing with his action figures and trying to have them make a cohesive story. Having a few cool pages of team ups isn't enough for me.
Anyway sadly those last 6 or 7 issues drag this down a bit since it ends on a slog of a read. Saying that, Dixon run is solid superhero fare, similar to all his superhero stuff. It's good but never great. Redemption arc is insanely good and the true spiritual successor to Doug's run. So with those this does get a 3 out of 5 simply to average out the decent Dixon run (2.5-3/5) and excellent redemption run (5/5) and the piss poor round robin run (1.5/5)
So overall rating for the entire Omnibus is a 3/5.

What a freaking mess. Caught between two events making a jumbled hell of a read but slightly entertaining.
Basically Justice League is in ruins after the events of Cry for Justice. Then even more so Rise and Fall of Justice League. So then Blackest Nights come and it hits all the heroes left on the team fighting against dead friends and family to the point they're losing their mind (and one nearly raped...by the dead. Dr. Light is a true piece of shit.)
Then after the events we have a team of Dick-Batman and Hal and others coming together to form a new one but even to them this seems wrong and out of place. Dick giving orders to Hal seems weird. Flash just there to be there. Wonder Girl (Donna) there but...not sure why.
It's weird, and feels incomplete, and yet it was enjoyable enough to read but can't give it higher than a 2.5.

Weak link of the entire omnibus. A overly long space battle with mostly characters you probably don't know it care about. Cool to see Kyle there though.
