Chris Claremont is just not my cup of tea. The wolverine dialogue comes across so forced. Not scary, not interesting, just dull and cheesy. I know I'm not in the majority here and people love his voice for Wolverine probably but not me. The hulk issues are particularly boring as hell. The one Peter David issue was atleast more humor and had some cool fights. Rest? I wasn't feeling much at all.

Is there every a writer you read and you're like "Yeah, i get the appeal. His ideas are sound. But his writing style is just not for me." ?
That's Chris Claremont for me.
I mean I give the man his dues, he made the X-Men a superstar series with memorable characters left and right. So I'm not trying to take anything away from the guy. But man, his dialogue just does not work for me at all, especially on Wolverine.
So anyway this is a big omnibus and with a good idea to open with Weapon X. A dark, screwed up, moody look into the early days of Logan in the weapon X program. Being used like a tool to creature a monster. This is a dark as hell take and worked on almost all levels. Besides being a bit confusing at times, this is the type of stories Wolverine should be in.
But soon after were taken back to Wolverine and his time on his lonesome self. These stories range from decent (Kitty and Wolverine working together is the best story of the bunch probably) to downright bad (The stuff closer to issue 7-9 of the long running wolverine series are dreadful Hulk team ups that are just not fun.
Overall a mixed bag in the end. For the weapon x story alone this gets it up to a 3 star rating but without that lookin closer to a 2...2.5 tops.

A decent transition into a new arc. This arc was always a okay arc to me, don't much care about horses but still some really funny moments with Luffy and Chopper. But overall just a decent kind of filler volume till the next big, and best arc, of the series. A 3 out of 5.
Little bit of a weaker ending. For sure since this probably sold well we'll get a sequel but the result was a death I saw coming a mile away. Well, still a damn fun series.
Neil Gaiman always has the plot, but sometimes he loses me with his delivery and flowery dialogue, but he nailed it here.
Tim, a young boy who inspired the exact look and backstory of Harry Potter, can grow up to bring great peace and happiness or the end of times. This leaves 4 distinct powerful magic users to take Tim on different trips to show him what magic is and can be.
This can feel overwhelming, hoping along the entire DC magic universe, but Tim being as clueless as a lot of readers helps a ton. Each of these four chapters shows a different part of the magic world, and while I'd argue the first one is the weakest, it still entertains.
By the end, I was gully invested with Tim and wanted to see more of him. Let's hope the rest of the stories here work. A 4 out of 5.

It's confusing but intriguing. Mister E is batshit insane with a crazy backstory. Wanna sew where this goes.
