Secret Avengers feels very gritty and edgy, which fits Remender well, but man is Hawkeye annoying and a dumbass here.

I do like this team that shouldn't work well, somehow does in ways. The fact we get one of the cast murdered (I think anyway) is pretty brutal start but help lift this story up in ways. I'm not liking how Hawkeye is written, just kind of stupid and shouting all the time. But we do have Flash here as Venom so that's super fun.

Fire Power keeps on being a fun series, and while the story beats play it a bit safe, I did like the art A LOT in this one.

The dragon has risen, the world must come together to stop such a powerful beast. Except this thing is nearly unbeatable, maybe even for the mighty power of FIRE. This leaves Owen in a tough spot where he must face what he might not be able to stop while protecting his family. A good amount of fights that look great mixed with some touching moments, give us another really solid volume.

Okay now this slow build is starting to bubble over. We get who is using what power to control everyone, the thing is, can we stop it? I'm in for this and Huntress is now the star of the show here.

All hell breaks lose, Helena is a BADASS this issue, and the backup story is so fucked up yet I'm loving it.

This was more of a recap issue with some added storybeats. I will say the backup story got me glued, and by far one of the better backup stories for all these comics with backup stories.

While main story is solid and the ending ramps things up, the backup story is so damn intriguing I wanna know who this damn kid is.

Main story everyone breaka free of pirate but backstory things get darker during banes run in the 90s.

For sure building blocks to what I assume is gonna be a bloodbath. Really like how we have three separate hero stories thst will probably all collide.
