So after Grant Morrison and Mark Waid, joe Kelly comes in to try his hand at the JLA.
What first starts off as a Wonder Woman arc, we go into solo one shots which are the best of the bunch in this collection, and then a major arc where the Justice league are killed off and a new team has to take over. Which is interesting since that is currently what is about to happen in 2022 as well.
Anyway this secondary team lead by Nightwing is actually the most fun part of the book and my favorite part. I also really liked how this mission and "death" really effected everyone internally and they don't just get back up and everything is great again.
But the storyline itself, the plotting, is overly long and complicated for really zero reason. We all knew everyone would come back. And nothing actually felt scary or gave us interesting villains.
So yeah a solid collection but nothing special in the end.
A 3 out of 5.

Sadly not as good as Realm of Kings.
This is the Inhumans trying their best to run shit without their leader Black Bolt. The first half is actually really interesting, and the lies told my Madusa is pretty bad. I also really like Crystal and Ronan's relationship, as weird as it might seem. The first story and even the royal guard story, while not great, is solid enough.
Then we get this very weird Son of Hulk story and...yeah it's pretty bad. I honestly gave little to no shits about anyone in this story.
So for a solid first half, a 3 out of 5.

A collection of mostly one shot issues, some two part stories, but still really engaging.
A lot of the first half is simple stopping crime and beating up bad guys. The second half gets a little bit more mystical. A little darker again. And also, Moon Knight is funnier? It's a bit jarring but kind of goofy in the best way. I don't know if anything lives up to the stuff in the Hulk Back Magazines in volume 1 but I'm still enjoying my time with this series.
A 3.5 out of 5, I'll raise it to a 4.

On my mission to write up my next video on Gambit and what comics to read I decided to try this one...that was...not good. Solid art but nonsensical story.
Extremely bland. Better written than last mini series but by issue 4 I was dozing off...maybe Gambit just isn't good solo?
DC trying their hand at Punisher, bringing over one of the big punisher writers and...it's okay.
Hitman can read minds and he also kills bad guys. One day someone willing to pay him a million to kill Joker. But batman don't like killing.
It's a short and fun little story. I might give volume 2 a try. Didn't draw me in completely but was a quick read.

Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 3: War of Kings, Book 2
Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, Brad Walker, Wes Craig
Holy hell this gets dark. So Much death and carnage and for once Kang is used in a fun way that makes sense. The change of art though was extremely jarring.
While a little shaky at points, and bringing back the dead gets a bit boring, it still hit the nail by the end.
We have the guardians trying to fix themselves from their last big adventure. Needless to say it did NOT go well. Plenty of dead members, people having grief issues, and new foes arrive. The art only changes once but it's not as jarring as last volume. Also I wish they used Rick Flagg more, he's just there for a joke every 20-30 pages or so.
But this sets up a big return and I'm sure the biggest storyline is hitting next in Thanos's own book! A 3.5 out of 5 for them.

Guardians of the Galaxy by Abnett and Lanning: The Complete Collection, Vol. 2
Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, Brad Walker, Wes Craig
Overall solid second half of Dan Abnett's run.
I just in general enjoyed the characters interacting. I'd say the weakest parts are when they are split up. Together? Pure gold. The twist and deaths also hit hard, especially the first half of this collection is golden. Overall can see why people hold this run of Guardians up there. This is probably either tied for first or my second favorite run.

Okay sounds like almost out of this time traveling looping, and it is getting better. First half was goofy and hate the modern day art, but a lot of the other art was great. The ending with his daughter worked very well and the very last page? Goddamn. Let's see where we go!
