This was a fast paced, sometimes really funny, and then very weird volume.

The fights in here were pretty great. Seeing Shugen use his full power was terrifying but also awesome. Having Gabimaru whole crew of ninja's want to kill him and thanking him for killing them was priceless and funny as hell. Getting to see Gantetsusai is always a great thing to see and some great battles. The only thing I didn't love was the ending with the giant, I assume, end game boss appearing.

Not sure how to feel about this...

I mean I watched Elfen Lied when I was 15 as a teenage in 2004. Then again about 8 years ago with the wife. I enjoyed it watching both times. As a even bigger manga fan than anime, I was excited to try the source material = the manga. However, this feels a lot more....trashy? Than the anime. Maybe it's been awhile since I watched it but this felt a lot more ecchi/hentai-ish than the anime.

So this starts very similar. Lucy (or Nyu when she loses her mind) breaks out of her imprisonment and goes on a rampage, killing anyone who's in her way. As she's escaping she is shot in the head, but her metal mask covers the brunt of it, but as she falls into the water and awakens she can't remember who she is and acts like a kid. She then meets Kouta and Yuka, cousins who are living together now and take her in.

So from there it starts off brutal and goes into much more comedy route. Nyu/Lucy keeps messing with Kouta, having him grab her breast, get her naked, you know. Normal stuff you do to strangers you rescue. Yuka is jealous of her COUSIN, and wonders if he would touch HER breast...COUSINS...yo what the fuck?

Anyway...Soon the people who lost Lucy send people after her. Including a insane person who likes to murder people. This guy is hilarious, over the top, and curses more than me. See Brando is a moron but he's funny as hell, and him yelling "Yo this some exorcist shit" when Lucy goes after him is perfection.

Anyway, the rest of the chapters speed through the anime. Trying to deal with serious situations like child abuse but don't mind displaying panty shots of that said character prior...and after...what? WHAT?

Yeah there's some huge problems in this manga. And the dialogue can be extremely laughable.

Doctor: I need you to spread your seed.
Brando: Doc...are you fucking dumb you fucking idiot?

LOL Good times. For the absurdity I have to read on. A 2.5 out of 5.

Reading this as part of the Roger Stern Omnibus on Spider-man and...well it's a product of its time.

One thing that is kind of nice is all these stories feel individual save one or two with two part storylines. There's a villain, a lady, who keeps popping back up in almost every issue but for the most part can read a issue and get a complete story.

But most of these are for sure old school comic, saturday morning cartoon stories. None really stuck with me, save for a few funny moments with Spider-man and his villains. Most of these villains felt lackluster, and not very scary. Spider-man's regular life was decent, with cute romance with Deb, but overall nothing to write home about.

Roger Stern seems to have the chopping blocks for Spider-man himself, and he writes Peter solid, but the plotting has a lot to be desired. However, we'll see how the rest of his run measures up to this one.

This very much felt like a "Ready, stage set, and we're....ABOUT to go." But still highly entertaining.

Everyone must split into groups to take down this big bad. It has to be taken down all at once at the same time. Of course the third in charge of the samurai turns out to be far more dangerous than expected but also...a scumbag. Everyone in this damn series feels like a scumbag at points...and I kind of love it. We also get to see some ninja on ninja action as the one in love with our main ninja hero wants to either fuck him or kill him...or both.

Overall, a highly entertaining volume with, what looks like, a main death and a push towards the end in a heroic way. Let's see how the final two volumes pan out.

This manga can't decide if it's hentai or actual story.

On the real though this is basically just like Pacific Rim/EVA mixed with a lot of T & A action. In this world to pilot these robots that look humanoid you must make a connection with your partner in the cockpit. Sounds simple enough. Except the girl is on all fours with her ass sticking out and the guy is in the seat behind her, but the position of the camera angles sure makes it look...suggestive.

So our main hero seems to have a problem "connecting". He can't seem to have sexua--Mind connection and tus making him feel useless. Till one day a girl named 02 come along and mid attack decides to kiss him in the cockpit, giving him the motivation he needs to work together with her to pilot the robot.

The story itself is fine if not done a million times before. But the fact this manga feels the need to show multiple girls ass and tits in bare, for no reason sometimes. Like a shot of a girl getting dressed, a bathhouse with all the girls naked and in color, and everything the robots get electrocuted we have to show the girls bare naked getting electrified while their boobs giggle.

Listen, I'm not a prude. I like boobs and ass as much as the next guy/gal. But the unnecessary amount is just annoying. To the point this is the type of manga people who don't want to read manga cause of the fanservice would probably point out as trash and why they don't read manga, and sadly I can't even blame them.

This isn't awful but I'm not tempted to pick up the next right away or anything. A 2.5 out of 5.

Unlike the last manga I reviewed, this one is considered "Hentai" but I considered this just Sweat and Soap uncensored because it's written by the creator, it's sweet, sexy, and actually has a point/plot. In other words, this is for sure nudity and sex, but tastefully done.

Not much to say other then a 30+ page book of our two leads deciding to finally have sex and have a kid. It's cute and funny still, it's sexy and hot when it has to be, and the ending made me laugh. So basically as good as sweat and soap should be. Go read the entire series before this!

Better volume than the last. This time we got Luffy going head to head with a badass. Zoro using a new slash mid air move. Robin being a natural of taking down a enemy in one hit. Chopper getting to shine too. Overall, a real fun volume.

Leatherhead makes his grand appearance!

Actually, not sure if this guy is old or new but he's pretty scary here. A calm and collective alligator with a vicious amount of brute strength. But he seems on the side of the turtles as they team up to find out what is happening in the sewer. Meanwhile master splinter has to deal with his first attack on his foot clan.

Overall a pretty fun volume. Felt like more of a set up one to show off new villains and plotlines. Nothing blew me away but having the turtles team up all together again, Leatherhead being a interesting villain/hero. And cute little brain guys all make it a very enjoyable volume.

A 4 out of 5.

A basically go into the past to find out how everyone ended up as a captain, why people betrayed others, and so on. It's a fine volume, with some really cool reveals. I have to say though, doing this at a odd time in the middle of a big fight, is weird. I wonder how long this "flashback" is going to go for before getting back to current time.

This is my favorite volume so far.

We get some really great moments. A moment where Kaguya wants to give a lift for Miyuki since it's raining but refuses to say it in fear it might show she likes him. So instead she waits outside in the rain for him and then gets sick. So he goes to visit her when she's sick. Something hot and spicy might happen! We also get some funny as hell moments with my favorite loser, Tsubasa, as he fears for his life once more.

This is a must read series at this point for light hearted, yet cute moments, with a ton of heart.
