Amazing Spider-Man by Nick Spencer Vol. 14: Chameleon Conspiracy
Nick Spencer, Mark Bagley, Marcelo Ferreira, Carlos Gómez
What the fuck is even happening? Like six hundred plot lines going on at once. Least the part about Ned was interesting.
Limping to the finish line Nick Spencer's run is done. Some great artwork here muddled by retcon after retcon, none particularly well thought out, and a rushed ending. Overall...blah.
The Death of a major character that always makes me cry. Some big moments with the brothers fighting and making choices. Winty gets to shine big time this volume with a ending that's both scary (delivering a baby!) And exciting.
A really solid start to a new vampire series. Both fun and brutal. Don't love the main character but her partner is badass.
The United States of Captain America
Mohale Mashigo, Darcie Little Badger, Alyssa Wong, Christopher Cantwell, Joshua Trujillo
A cool idea but with the art and story feels like made for very young kids. Which was more adult oriented. But yeah didn't do much for me.
Not a terrible ending but a bit weak when compared to a mostly great arc. Still enjoy the dialogue but Hue isn't a interesting villain. The backup story didn't do much for me either.
Still solid comic but feels way too much like Saturday morning xmen series. Gone are the deeper and sometimes dark character center x-men comics from Hickman and more traditional superhero comic.
A fun time traveling, save someone in the past to protect their current self starring wolverine. It's a pretty good time so far.
Felt a bit safer than I expected. Also didn't like the way reed met Ben. But overall it was a interesting look into the start of their lives. Just not great.
