Better than last few lackluster issues but still not great. Wally running from dinos was...a interesting choice.
Whoa this was great! We have the Green sent on wiping out humanity, just how things have to go. A father and daughter trying to survive in a world that is killing off humanity. And a surprise twist at the end that really elevated the entire issue.
Jeff Lemire is KILLING it.

This was great!
Getting to see Sara and Gleason work together again was great. The start of this is basically a prelude for the artifacts series. We get to meet a new necromancer type girl who is actually pretty interesting. Then before we get to deep into that we're thrown into a bit of a jarring major event that kills off a character I was just coming to really enjoy. So that was weird. But the final few issues are Sara and Gleason doing police work while also Sara dealing with her loss.
It's a really solid issue with death being felt by multiple characters. Trying to pick up the pieces while also doing their job, this volume does a good balance. I will say the death is sudden and for sure felt jarring a bit, but besides that I REALLY enjoyed this volume.
A 4 out of 5.

I still liked this but it didn't have the same "oh man!" energy I got from book 1.
Still, watching the sibling travel some more, meet a new ally, and then face off against a whole city of being under the control of a offspring of "father" was great. The art remains solid with some really good fight scenes. I just felt it wrapped up too quick with a odd ending to a now longer wait to get the next volume. But overall I'll still be reading this one come next book.

This collection didn't really do much for me. I guess I'm just more of a long format fan for Superman. The short stories, being 10-15 pages just didn't connect for me. The art was good, but not every issue I loved the art style.
Overall just okay but everyone else loves it, so try it out!

Before I jump into my back issues of Detective comics from Mariko I should finish her Dark Detective series for future state. This is a solid issue, giving us some great moments of bruce using his detective skills to take down the enemy. It did feel like a huge build up to the end but it was still cool. The second story with grifter is alright.

A solid if not little anticlimactic ending. I would have liked more but it is what it is, art is still great, second story is weird but enjoyable.
A interesting way to explore Bruce as not some rich guy anymore, and I'm kind of all here for it. I also think the art is solid. The Robin special felt really unneeded though and mega short.
The first half with Bruce is great detective style comic. Investigating and seeing what happened to Sarah. It's a solid issue though obviously a build up with a crazy ending. The second half is about Huntress, and this part is GREAT. Really loved the plotting here and Huntress was well written. Count me in on this run.
Another great issue. Seeing Huntress and Batman work together to find a killer is awesome. I think Mr. Worth is a little over the top at times. I know his daughter died but the scene of "sad" was silly but besides that, wow, this is great. Both the main story and the B-side story. This is a fantastic upgrade for Detective comics.
