Weird and trippy with some really fucked up moments. I do love the group in here though and by the end I felt that shit. The ending made me think what is it to love someone for so long you just know you will always. Worked well.

A 4 out of 5.

Backstabbing fun as Falcon and the Winter Soldier team up to fuck shit up just like the hit TV show on Disney +! (No I don't work for Disney)

So Bucky is just not dealing with his old life to well. After a amazing opening he goes on the road and somehow him and Falcon meet up after a horrific event happens. But when there's a super fan who LOVES Captain America he decides he wants to face off against Bucky and Sam. Thing is this kid is a fucking beast and wrecks them both. So now the two sidekicks have to work together to find out who this kid is and what the hell is happening.

This is a zanny dumb adventure. It's silly, funny, pretty amazing art at points with great action scenes. But it feels more like a preview for the show than its own comic. I had fun, but Zemo wasn't needed at all here. And the kid was a little annoying.

But overall not a bad action comedy mini. A 3 out of 5.

And so ends the second major event by Donny Cates and it is a big one.

Venom has had enough of Knull bullshit. He has gained the power of the LIGHT and he now wields the most powerful weapons in the universe.

Listen, this is batshit insanity to the highest degree and if sit back and let Ryan blow you away with his art you'll really enjoy it. On top of that it ends real well with the heart of Donny's run of Brock and Dylan finally having some peace. But of course we also have a new king...where do we go from here? Guess we'll see in issue 200!

Overall, the event was a bout a 3.5 but this issue was a 4.

The mystery grows even if a few are answered. The jumpy storyline is still jarring at times but when I'm getting it I love it. Artwork is 10 out of 10. Also batman/girl (bruce/Salina daughter) is a fucking boss.

So it is time to re-read this series for the third time! Mark is just a boy trying to be a superhero...but man is it complicated.

Mark Grayson finally gets his powers after waiting his whole life. His father is Omni-man, a very similar hero to Superman. So when Mark forms his own powers he wants to live up to his father's legacy. However, as we get into the series and watch as the Guardians of the Globe, the heroes of the world, get slaughtered in moments by a certain someone we know this series will take a darker turn quick.

It is really the last three issues that solidfied this series. The first 1-9 issues isn't bad at all. In fact it's solid if not a little typical. It is Kirkman both giving tribute to the older comics but also putting his own spin on it. The storylines themselves aren't the best but the dialogue is solid enough and Mark is extremely likeable. Some of the jokes are a bit outdated "This is SO Gay" line is especially cringe. However, this is 2002, and I won't sit here and lie and say no one was saying this back then. I know I was and growing up my best friend was gay.

But the real turning point is issue 11 followed by an explosive issue 12 with heartbreaking moments, and a slower but natural progression into the next phase with issue 13. What Kirkman does well is deliver a multi-layer story with so many well made storylines. From regular school days, work, becoming hero, working as a team, love story, and more.

While the beginning might be slow and turn a few people off the ending hook here for this ultimate collection helps boost the series a lot. The best part? It only gets BETTER from here on out. A 4 out of 5.

Old Review: From a 2 star comic at the start to a fucking 4. Amazing pick up, great twist (That don't feel forced) and wonderful character development.

Some big Monster vibes here but more of mystery with some shock horror thrown in.

Eiji is kind of a loser in his own way. Just living his life away, a virgin, drinking with his buddies. Nothing special about this guy. Well that is till he wakes up with a girl in his bed. But wait, they didn't actually SLEEP together but she's half naked in his bed. She says she'll see him later and leaves and then...he tries to recall what happen but can't. Only to finally realize soon after he's missing the memory of the last 3 days!

As the story progresses for every answer they give, they leave you with another question. A Smart way not to pile up SO many questions you feel like you'll never get any answers. Because the story focuses on giving you answers with Eiji and his past, but then once you learn something you're left with a new mystery of why and how something is happening. I know I'm being vague but want to avoid spoilers.

The mystery is the strongest part here. There's a lot of great twist and turns and I was intrigued the whole time. I will say the dialogue sometimes teeters on silly but that's mostly fine with a 19 year olds mindset here. The sex too doesn't feel too forced, in fact feels natural even if the girl seems a little over the top.

I am interested to see where we wind up. I'm big fan of mystery/horror with serial killers so this could be good. A 4 out of 5.

A football (Or soccer in America) by the creator of Your Lie In April. So did I ball my eyes out?

Well Nozomi Onda loves the game of soccer. She wants nothing more than to play but she wants to play on the boys team. Everyone treats her like she can't cut it due to physicall differences. Maybe they are partly right but she doesn't to hear that. So the story is mostly focused on her trying to achieve her dreams while also a slight love story sprinkled in aswell.

This was pretty cute. The drawings were real solid, the soccer play flowed well, and I liked Onda never give up fight. I didn't love the love story because felt a bit cliche but it was cute none the less. This isn't as impressive as Your Lie In April and I know I shouldn't compare because two different styles but just speaking the truth. But I will check more out!

A 3 out of 5.

Boring...I can't even remember what happened save for Jessica at the end was a bit shocking. Otherwise another snoozer.

Rick Remender writes a lot of good marvel characters.

Punisher isn't one of them.

While better than the last volume I read of his work on the character, it is not very good. Punisher goes through the same bullshit hunt everyone and kill all who get in his way. Nothing fun or interesting happens with this character. He's not interesting or deep or anything. Remender doesn't have Frank's voice down at all.

Saying that I did enjoy seeing Frank's friend here and though it was more of a bitter goodbye it worked well for that character to get away from this life.

However, the rest was just okay at best.

Big girls verse big boys that are ugly monsters.

Simple.

No really, that is the storyline. Basically the government is using these huge girls who can combat these Kaiju sized boys who've become monsters when they grew. It's a war against the creatures as the girls work together to fight back. But what happens when the girls begin to do the dirty walk of the government...who's the real monster!?

It's a fine story. It's not great but it is fun. The fights, the overall atmosphere, feels pretty on par with things like Pacific Rim. I enjoyed watching the fights a lot and even had some good emotional bits spread throughout. The characters are pretty decent though cliche as good be. And the ending is more like "There might be more...if we sold enough" Type ending.

So for now it's a 3 out of 5 series.
