I really wanted to love this title but just couldn't seem to get in to it. I cared about very little when it came to the characters. They all felt like extreme versions of themselves without any soul. I can't even recall anyone's name that's how forgettable the cast was. Also, I don't really care about the political side the story, feels forced as can be. I did like some of the story points and some of the art was good, but I'm not really looking forward to another volume. I'll try it when it comes but for now Bitch Planet is a big old disappointment.
A Interesting title is the best way I can describe this one. I don't always love the art, yet some shots leave me in awe. I love the dialog most of the time, even if sometimes it makes me question if they'd say that or why. The worst part has to be the ending, which didn't leave me wanting more, just left me saying "What in the hell?" SO overall I did enjoy my time, the main cast was a lot of fun, and the story was bizarre as could be. However, this is easily the weakest thing from my favorite comic writer I've read.
New Avengers by Jonathan Hickman, Vol. 1
Rick Magyar, Frank Martin, Marte Gracia, Jonathan Hickman, Laura Martin, Rain Beredo, Frank D'Armata
Similar to Avengers main title I agree this is a fun read at times, but little wonky at others. The thing with Avengers is it was all over the place. Some great issues, some meh. New Avengers is better in that area because it stays good throughout. However, nothing amazing happened for me. I also think the main cast is cool but they talk far too much sometimes haha. Still, overall a fun read, and ready to jump into Infinity.

Overall an interesting take on what happens if Civil War began. I reviewed issue 1 and then read the remaining four issues and felt the same throughout. The big reveal felt kind of weak. I expected a better turnout on that front. It explained some things, such as why certain characters were acting a certain way. However, I would have enjoyed a more clean ending, based on just different ideals. Either way, a fun little Warzone read worth checking out.
Mix feelings about this one. I loved the start. Issue 1-2 are great. Then it begins to fall. Far. The last issue is awful IMO. A neat wrap up for a 5-issue book is to be expected but it felt so tame and lame compared to the interesting and nerve wracking start. Such a cool idea wasted on a samey superheroy good ending when they pushed a interesting idea at the start. Such a shame, could have been great, but just came out okay.
what happened here? Sure volume 1 was solid but flawed. This was so freaking boring. I cared two shits a out any of the gods they focused on. Don't even get me started on the filler. Like what was the point of half the scenes? For some witty dialog and okay art shots? I really just did not enjoy this volume except for the end. It took balls. Screw the rest.
Decent start. Meeting the gods felt a bit boring but at the same time we got some great side cast. The ending is what really rose this volume. It ends with a bang and really makes you wanna keep reading.
