Another solid volume of Ms. Marvel. Feels more personal as the Civil War makes everyone turn on each other. The highlight being Carol and Kamala trying work out their differences. The art ranges from decent to good, never amazing. But enjoyed the character interactions.
A dark, moody, and weird story about superheroes I NEVER heard about and I've been reading comics like 20+ years.
Who were these "heroes" or super powered people here? No clue. But basically this is a mystery. People are getting haunted by mystical force or some type of person, that's the mystery, because people begin to die one by one. It starts off interesting enough, and the twist is clever, but I didn't give a shit about ANY of these characters. The art also ranges from amazing, some wonderful shots, and some horrible fight scenes that I couldn't tell what the heck was happening.
Overall, it's worth reading if really love super powered people and a fun mystery but it's also pretty forgettable sadly. A 3 out of 5.

The Tournament arc is SO much better in the Manga.
Why?
It moves at a brisk pace. Lots of fun fights, Gohan doing goddamn WORK, and Goku and Vegeta actually being badass with their power level. I also love Freeza in here and they made him MUCH more in character to his previous version. The art stays good with some great action scenes too. And while the Tournament isn't my favorite arc since the plot is bare-bones, it's still pretty dang fun. A 4 out of 5.

Burn it to the ground...
HOLY SHIT WE IN IT NOW
HOLY SHIT WE IN IT NOW
WOW this was a nice upgrade from volume 1.
This is much more focused with a storyline that is followed throughout the whole volume. With Black Hammer's daughter now in the same fucked up weird alter dimension that the other heroes are stuck in she begins to poke around and try to find out where they are and why they can't leave. On top of that you have some backstories on Talky and more, and some horrifying twist and backstabbings that take place soon into this volume.
What really works in this volume is the pacing. A lot of twist and turns move it along quickly but also the fact each character has a story that builds into this volume to have an exciting end result. I also thought, as almost always, Lemire handles multiple storylines and themes well such as love, religion, and more. It also helps the art has this old school feel with new school production.
There's not much negative to say here. Almost everything comes together well. I'm excited to see where the characters go from here and can only assume their fates might get worse. For now, this has me hooked much more than volume 1. A 4.5 out of 5.

Well well well, this was a bit of a rollercoaster, huh?
Rick Rememnder had to step up big to take over X-Force, which was pretty dang good under Yost. But step up he did. Giving us a brand new team, Wolverine, Deadpool, Fantomex, Psylock, and Angel, these 5 are basically a hit squad for mutant threats and more. However, right into this harrowing tale we learn what they might do will cross some big lines. With the rebirth of Apocalypse, can this team take him out even if he's a kid?
If that's not bad enough one of their teammates might not be who they seem. When one turns, it makes the entire group fall apart as they are thrown into a different reality. one where Apoc roams the lands as a king of sorts and the world is broken. Can Wolverine and his team stop the future or will this be the end?
Overall, fantastic character developments on multiple fronts. Biggest surprises for me were Fantomex having huge changes that worked, a new mutant born, and Deadpool actually being FUNNY. I know, crazy, huh? Also Wolverine as a leader was great and showed who he truly was. Psylock and Angel story is tragic, but we knew that going in. Really the only negative is there's stuff to do with robot versions of the x-men that is just decent inbetween two great storylines.
This is fantastic, dark, and fucked up, but in all the right ways. I really recommend this for X-Men fans who wanted a darker take on their favorite characters. A 4 out of 5.

Two very different stories come together to make a interesting mystery/revenge tale. I'm excited to see where Ben here takes Wolverine. nails the character's voice and the art is great. Let's go!
DCeased continues to be a treat as we now see the otherside of survivors. From Slade and his daughter to other super villains, and then of course our Boy Jason Todd, Cass as Batgirl, and Jim all trying to survive together. Who will make it? No one knows!
Monster continues to tell the story of Tenma search for the killer Johan.
This is a slow, world building, various amount of stories all coming together. The times of the stories taking place even feels a little disconnected. However, when it comes together, and oh boy does it ever, major changes are on the way. We have a look at Tenma and what happened to him after saving another mob/killer's life. On top of that we get some Johan past and shows how he was raised and who he was.
The things that work in Monster are the slow build. The getting to know various characters and why they are key characters in the overall story. Tenma is a great main character, giving hope at every turn, even when everyone else in this world is usually looking out from only themselves. The exciting cat and mouse game reaches a semi-climax here too and I want more.
It is a slower volume, and a ton of world building, but I think it'll pay off big in the end. A 4 out of 5.

Ferals is stupid as fuck yet fun?
So this is just a sexual driven werewolf story. That's it. No grand plot. Basically a woman comes into town, infects people, fucks others, cop tries to figure it out, becomes said werewolf, and then a lot of fucking and death.
That's the whole book. It's highly entertaining in a trashy way and a easy read, but holy hell does the story do nothing new. Also, the art? What is it? Not too sure.
