Dead Man Logan is heading for death...for good...like for real this time, he's going to die for good. Especially since younger Logan came back. Well, young in the sense he's like 100 and old man logan is like 160? I dunno.

Anyway...Logan doesn't want a repeat of what happened to him in his time. If you haven't read old man logan, well, it's old so I'ma spoil it. In that story Logan murdered all the X-Men because mystero made him believe they were villains attacking the students. It was brutal and fucked up. So now Logan decides he'll kill Mystero before he could do anything like that. However, Sinister's daughter, Sin, and Crossbones have other plans and approach Mystero first.

This was a nice surprise. Fast paced, brutal, and even emotional at bits. This Logan is desperate and it shows. His time is running real thin and he's dying very quickly. Still, he goes after Mystero regardless and it makes it really good hunt. On top of that having Hawkeye as Old Man's Logan best buddy is actually really funny at times and touching. The last issue also wraps it up nice with a goodbye to certain characters before Old Man Logan leaves (But not dead, still a part 2!) I didn't love Sin and Crossbones here, or Sinister's daughter. They were okay. Mystero was a nice surprise and always left me guessing.

Overall, really fun. I'm excited to see how this wraps up due to the ending. A 4 out of 5.

The end of The War Machine Punisher, but damn was it fun.

Last volume was mostly just watching Frank kill a bunch of bad people. It's kind of what we always see but this time he had one of the best weapons ever, War Machine! This volume starts off with the heroes trying to stop him. Not just one, or two, but a whole shit load. Luke Cage, Captain Marvel, Spider-man, The Thing, and more try to stop Frank from using the armor. Frank obviously wants to kill more people, and with ease, so he says "nah fuck that" and so the fight begins. Frank joined Hydra during Secret Empire, and he wants Zemo dead for tricking him, and he is now hunting his ass.

This was super fun. Watching Frank face off against a huge cast of heroes and stop them all was awesome. I also really enjoyed the funnier moments here, as Rosenberg nails the humor from Hawkeye and even some great moments from Winter Soldier. The kills are brutal too, the pacing is frantic and fun, and the art is solid. The only negative is the reason he gives back the armor.

Overall, super damn fun, and hoping Rosenberg stays on Punisher for least another 3-4 arcs. A 4 out of 5.

This was decent.

This wraps up what Michael was heading for. Doom is now going face to face with everyone. However, this isn't before Loki plays his whole "I'm such a bad person, punish me" but secretly being a trickster. On top of that Thor comes down from the skies to face doom once and for all.

It's decent fight, decent dialogue, decent art, decent everything. Doesn't have a great ending and doesn't do much I didn't expect but it works. A 2.5 out of 5.

This was really enjoyable!

Another series similar to things like Jessica Jones, where we follow the life of Dex. She's just a regular girl trying to live a P.I. life. However, this new case she's on has gotten pretty bad. A missing girl, the drug lord is now involved, and poor Dex seems to be in the middle of it. A mystery with a lot of humor and surprisingly a lot of art.

Overall, enjoyed it a lot. It's not mindblowing or any crazy twist, but the pacing words well, the art is good, the dialogue is good, everything is good and flows well. I enjoyed it and will pick up future volumes. Now I know why they made a TV show out of it. A 3.5 out of 5.

Rucka continues his dark and twisted Punisher run.

So what happens when Punisher finds someone else in a similar situation as him? When Rachel, a woman who has her entire family murdered at her wedding and her nearly die, get revenge Punisher decides to take her on as a sidekick basically. On top of that we have the Punisher, daredevil, Rachel, and Spider-man team up story. I read this one in Daredevil run but this was still great. Spider-man is TOO funny, Punisher is badass, and Daredevil is the best hero.

Overall, this is another great volume. I think this will end really strong in the third and final volume. A 4 out of 5.

Man, Brubaker really redefined Cap and made him one of the greatest heroes ever. I read this when it first came out and really enjoyed it, re-reading so many years later, I LOVE IT!

So Steve Rogers has passed away. Agent 13 is known to be helping the enemy. Bucky is capture. This is all at the very start of this volume. From start to end, things are paced so well, every event, event moment that happens to Bucky matters. Bucky meets Tony, Bucky becomes the New Captain America, Bucky faces off against Crossbones and Sin. This is all really a Bucky story, but holy hell, he's so damn interesting and his Cap suit is on point.

Okay, if it isn't clear, I love this volume. Watching Bucky become a hero is awesome. After all he's done he wants to make up for it. You'd think he wouldn't be a good fit, and he kind of isn't, but that's what makes him so damn fun to watch him be a hero. The action is so damn well done here, the dialogue is great, agent 13 is still interesting, and the plot twist at the end. OH SNAP! This is a easy 5 out of 5. Loving the hell out of this series.

The end is coming...we need the Justice League. No, not Batman, Superman, and Won...well actually, yes we do need Wonder Woman. Add on Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Man Bat, and more and we have the new Justice League DARK.

What happens when a new creature of the dark arrives? Strong enough to take attacks from the likes of Wonder Woman, Swamp Thing, and Constantine? Well we need them to come together to stop it all. This is a more horror/mystery approach to a Justice League team. Take away the punching and kicking and this team is more focused on stopping a mystical force from destroying the world.

James Tyrion does a great job of giving us perfect character interactions. Never liked Manbat? Don't worry, James will make him interesting. Detective chimp not just the butt of the joke? Nice. Some great art too with amazing fight scenes and scaling battlefields is wonderful. I also enjoyed the pacing. The only negative is the last issue didn't really end in a way that made it interesting like the arc before it.

Overall, Justice League Dark is great, hell better than the main series. A 4 out of 5.

The final chapter in the Death of Captain America. Does it end well? Well, no shit, it's Ed Brubaker here!

So the new Steve Rogers is here. Or I guess the old Steve Rogers? It's a clone of rogers who was the super soldier in the past. ANYWAY he's back and he's going after Bucky because he thinks Bucky killed his Bucky, which he actually did. Confused? Read the comics. Then have the other half of Falcon and Natasha on their rescue mission to get Agent 13 back.

Overall, good stuff. The art remains some of the best around, the fights are brutal and great, and the emotions are on display perfectly. Bucky is really great when written by Brubaker. Dark but not so moody like the movies, and the weight of being the New Cap is perfect for a character development like his. I also think the ending sets up some big things. I didn't love the events that happened to agent 13. I also think the villains didn't really get anything much done here besides what happened to agent 13.

Still, great ending, and can't wait for the next part. I'm getting into things I haven't read soon, it's exciting. A 4 out of 5.

Whoa, this was a pretty dark series I didn't expect.

The Skrulls invasion years ago was kind of a dud for me. All the build up and really only a very small handful of characters were actually them. They came to conquer but the heroes beat them...no consequences really...the end. But this story is more intimate. A story about a family of Skrulls who are secretly blending in with society. It's basically Americans the TV show mixed with the occasional superhero guy/gal.

This really surprised me. I love the inner thoughts of almost every character. Their motivations seem noble for what they are, but the way they go about it, it's kind of disgusting. The shocking revelations are all par for the course, and maybe a bit expected, but still exciting. I really dug the pacing as it always felt frantic after issue 2. The art was solid and gave a gloomy atmosphere feel.

Overall, Meet the Skrulls is what you need every once in awhile amongst the superhero companies. A deep look into family, themes of betrayal and honor, and lots of twist and turns. This is well worth the read. A 4 out of 5.

Finally got to the "Good" but not "great" volume for Ed Brubaker's run. I knew it had to happen eventually.

The thing is it's not bad. Bucky is basically chasing the man with no face and his scientist pal Chen. This is simple enough plot. You also have some memories from Bucky going over when he fought alongside Steve, Namor, and the original Human Torch. So Bucky is not on his mission to stop this evil scientist but when he finds out what they've been doing to a old friend, it's time to take matters even more serious.

This is fine. The plot itself is simple but works for the characters. I did love the fights, as always the art does an amazing job of showing that off. I also like Bucky...alot. I never was a huge fan of him before this, but he's so well done. Multi-layer character with tons of good character growth. I also always enjoy Namor's presence. However, there's nothing amazing about this story. It's kind of basic and nothing major really happens.

Overall though, this is still good. Even at worst it's still a 3 or maybe even a 3.5. But I can't get it to a 4 when the other volumes are better.
