Really enjoyed this book. So beautifully written, and though I found myself frustrated with the main character, I felt he was just young and naive and there was something about him that really made me root for him.
A lovely and relatable story of a young boy with a crush on a likely straight boy, with some confusing moments for them both in between.

This book was a little all over the place for me. Some stories I really loved and wanted more of, and others I just couldn’t wait to be done with. An interesting read overall though and fun that it was a little bit fantastical and mysterious and magical!

Thought this was a great addition to the Hunger Games series. Was great to learn more about Haymitch and just get back into the world. It didn’t feel like anything wildly different from the other books, which was ok!

I enjoyed this book more and more as it went on. Loved the cast of characters and although the main character was fairly unlikable, it all work out well together.

I enjoyed the style of this book and getting to know all of the side characters while a central story still took place. I do wish that we didn’t know what happened to Darla so early on and wanted the mystery to linger a bit more . But overall I enjoyed it and the collection of characters!

Overall I very much enjoyed this book. I was struck by how interested I became in the video game aspect of it all with the storytelling and design. It felt inspirational in driving toward a goal and being ambitious, but was also filled with a lot of sadness and grief in life.

I read this book in one day, and that’s not something I do very often. It had me really enraptured from the very beginning, and I always enjoy a thriller with twists and turns. In a lot of ways it reminded me of a better version of Verity. Sometimes it felt a little predictable, but I was really into it from start to finish. An easy and fun read.

Really didn’t enjoy this book. I love Stephen Rowley so much and have loved all his other books, so I’m really disappointed I didn’t like this one. I found the main character really unlikable and you of course know how it’s going to end from the moment you start. Found myself more frustrated than anything.

I really loved this book. Although there was a bit of a slow start, I came to love Albert and got very invested in his journey. I think what really made this book was the people around him, and those characters were just lovely to get to know as the book went on. Makes you really reflect on what struggles people went through in the queer community to have gotten where we are today.

I really enjoyed this book - it felt like a true reflection on life and loss and grief. I loved the way we got to see this character over decades and how he changed through time. Emotional and dark at times, but ultimately emotional and reflective!
