I just love the avatar world and re reading all of these is giving me so much life. Peace for Zuko is something I truly longed for him to have to the fullest and with this he finally found it.

This was so sweet and there was no third act breakup and the communication was golden and the potty all of co parenting was a beautiful and I really love the demonstration of care that Bo takes with our girl :,)

The disability rep is also fire and the jokes are hilarious and I love the characterization of care they take with one another and their disabilities being a significant part of their whole self.

As someone who is learning about the enabling and abusive cycle of parents I cried so much in this book. The expectations of parents and the reality of watching your parent, someone you love and know, have survived harrowing trauma with their partner and still know that you deserve better is hard. Extremely hard. Especially when it comes from the people who were supposed to love you unconditionally.

Abby has redeemed herself as an author for me. I wasn’t a huge fan of her writing in her previous series. Ur oh how she has grown ! I mean, she captured character development SO WELL. I even cried at Neil’s part, like — I wanted healing for him in the end! The telephone scene between Alexis and Daniel was HEARTWRENCHING, I felt myself getting choked up so much for these characters who were experience intense grief and intense love simultaneously and I just. I smiled and I felt and I felt like I was in Walsh with these lovely humans and their lives.

I loved Alexis’s journey to freedom and reconciling herself to her need an and her wants and desires and dreams. That was the most beautiful part of this story for me.

Wendell and Emily make me giggle and kick my feet in the BEST way I meannnn, they’re so cute and fun and I just love every second I get to spend with them.

This was such a fun adventure. I have found myself identifying species of faeries by their more colloquial terms like “trooping” and “brownie” while I’m reading and that just makes for such a unique reading experience when you’re so invested and familiar with a world. That’s an ode to great writing and originality, I think.

I also, dare I say, have found myself grateful for the depth of cultures presented in each book and how fun that element has been to work out in my brain as I gather new characters to learn and watch interact with Dr. Brambebly and Wilde. I just — I LOVVVEEE. I snuggle up with the characters and they warm up the evening with their banter and adventure and witty contributions to the world. ADORE.
