Oh my goodness. This might be my favorite book to date. It’s full of some rich themes of what evil truly looks like. How power corrupts and pride blinds even the most “good-natured” of people. I found myself countless times on the verge of tears as Harry, Ron, and Hermoine battled with more than just school and the social capacities of it. The questioned their morals and what they valued.

Hermoine sought to educate and fight for freedoms that enslaved individuals didn’t have. That definitely touched a part of my soul.

Ron battled through recognizing his own need for people and not being able to do things on his own - that being monetarily poor is better off than being poor in relationship.

Harry, just really goes through it - let me tell you. But he comes out stronger and he doesn’t shy away from the very real fear that his status brings. He knows he destined for more, yet feels the weight of a burden he asked not to carry, but will for the sake of those whom he loves around him. *cough* the gospel *cough*

Truly just a climax in the story that launches us into their growth as individuals and broadens their purposes beyond that of graduating from Hogwarts.

LOVED. IT.

More like 2.5, like it was fun and made me laugh but is don’t love Liv and just the reality and the miscommunication like - no we could have avoided it all and had a fun lil rom com or maybe just prolonged the slip of numbers / how the wrong number actually came to be - just meh yah know lol.

Oh man, my heart is just. Pain.

What a fun book that keeps you guessing and I honestly pride myself in being able to plot a plot before it reveals itself - but this one, I couldn’t see coming. I didn’t know who was in the wrong and I deviated back in forth between who I trusted and who I didn’t.
It was also just a beautiful book about trust and holding on to pieces of people we may no longer know, living or passed. Holding on to sweet memories that remind us that they once were people we grew to care for and know and allowing it to be okay that they’re different people now, without us and us the same without them.

Anyways, ugh. HEART STRINGS TUGGED.

i just, I really like happy endings and I’m growing more accustomed to the ones that don’t always end the way I would have considered it happy, but it is nonetheless.

A TRUE happy ending always carries shadows of a little pain.

I mean…. It was WILD.
I pride myself in being able to spot things a mile away but this one made me think and wonder and propose multiple plot lines and I STILL didn’t get it right in the end.

I mean - she keeps you on your toes and who doesn’t love good LOVE TRIANGLE, because I know I do and I’m ROOTING #teamgravery out here in these skreets. Anyways - on to book two.

No because…. This book made me SCREAM OUT LOUD. The. TWISTS. and the TURNS. I mean. What the HECKING. Also just ugh the writing sometimes makes me teary and I finished this whole novel in 24 hours. So where’s book three. Rn. I need it.

Oh my goodness, I just love Rick Riordan. This entire series is one of my favorite kid series to re read, because it’s chalk full of mystery, familial trial, redemption, and reconciliation, self discovery, and transatlantic fun.

Rick writing is always so inventive and humorous and you fall for characters, you believe that characters change, am only to be shocked when they’ve deviated to their old ways again. He just makes you believe in them as well.

I love love love this entire series !!

It’s like the hunger games, meets divergent, meets the bachelor ?? AND I AM LIVING FOR IT. Also, smash the heck out the patriarchy and the caste systems #teammaxon because Aspen squandered his chances when he let his patriarchal pride reign over his love and affection for Mer. #wehavenotimeforthat

I will simply be starting the second book …. RIGHT now.
