I’m actually …. So incredibly annoyed.

I KNEW going into book three to have the lowest of expectations but like … I’m dumbfounded. Flabbergasted because SURELY Lauren would’ve at least changed some things about her story telling from book 2, to reimagine book 3.

kitt dying needed to happen. Kitt dying at the hand of his brother, a bold choice - and one I appreciated her making ! Kitt dying in the balde of his sword while he wasn’t really defending himself … painful. Heartbreaking. Bur WHYYYYYYYYY did she make it so weird.

AND CALUM. BEING HER REAL DAD. WOULDVE BEEN SO INCREDIBKY WELL DONE HAD SHE SET UP THE RESISTANCE COUP BETTER FROM BOOK ONE.

Brotha. I would’ve NOT had Paedyn betray Kitt, making the resistance clearly have a mole in communications, causing suspicion and making that entire plot line more believable. I would’ve developed Kitt’s insanity better - her killing his father was more than enough betrayal for animosity to be created amongst the two.

WHYYYYYY. WHY WHY WHY DID SHE STILL HAVE THEM MARRIED AND WRITE A KISS BETWEEN THEM KNOWING THEY ARE HALF SIBLINGS. NO NO NO. THAT’S WEIRD.

WHY DIDN’T SET US IRIS. THE SISTER AND THE LSOT PRINCESS BETTER!?

Like all the revelations in this book felt forced and unrealistic and like she just needed crazy things to happen without any context what so ever or lead up in order to end the trilogy the way she wanted.

Sorely disappointed but expected.i really need to learn to DNF books lollll
