Mary Shelley wrote this novel, in her teenage years! Very little teenagers now could write something so profound throughout the ages.
I admire how this book was set out, starting with someone unrelated to the story of Victor Frankenstein, then ended with thus. I found this greatly intriguing with the different perspective of the fiend frankenstein created, and felt deep sorrow for the poor creature.
I am very glad I've now read this classic, because it deserves to be read and enjoyed.

I enjoyed this book a lot more than the first one, the first left me dissatisfied and slightly irked. But this one has left me wanting more and I'm intrigued to finally know what's going on!

3 stars because it really gripped Me, since it was also told by the perpetrator along side the victim. The ending wasn't to my liking but tying it all in with Sparrow being Chloe was clever.

I love how this is just an issue dedicating michone's revenge to the governor. This also adds context to the tv series since his eyepatch wasn't explained.

KNEW HE WAS HADES SON DAMN RIGHT AHHH ITS GETTING GOOD

First read 11 December 2016 - 30th December 2016

I actually enjoyed this the second time round more, started 22 Sep 2017 till 25th October 2017 reading it for college work.
Loved the coincidences, intertexual references and cynical humour from Jackson and louise.

My heart aches for Rose when she reads that tape. Because when she hears what he said, she will know that there was no good in him - and if there is a child she will carry the evil within Pinkie. It’s achingly beautiful.

Ive found with this series that I struggle to read this unless it’s at a really intense part. I enjoyed this but wasn’t totally in love with it, I’m looking forward to how the next book will go since things seemed to be wrapped up at the end of this one.

First things first: read this book. This is the opening book into a series so long and thrilling you will be grateful for starting it. The series is about 3 siblings: Violet, Klaus and Sunny. These three are extremely unfortunate, having their house burnt down with their loving parents in it to be shipped away to their closest relative in the town: Count Olaf. After he treats them like a disease they escape and go to their next unfortunate event, but count olaf wants the fortune the siblings are left with and will do anything to get it.
But back to this first book, it's a great introduction. That's it.Just read it and find out for yourself.
