I liked it, their story was tragic and beautiful. I'll probably add more when I have had time to think about it
I like the time jumping and the flipping into pieces of the past. Made it easy to flow back into after each reading. I wasn't yearning for this book, but once I started reading I found it hard to stop. I particularly loved connell and marianne's friendship, despite everything they went through they still had that bond.
But my LORD marianne please stop reading into things! The rest of the book wouldn't of had to happen if connell asked marianne if he could stay with her. Honestly. Though I forget these are kids - in their late teens and early 20s. So of course they're going to be awkward

Initial review: It was good. At parts I was a bit slumped but that didn't last for long since the pace picked up quickly. It was nice to be introduced to Tim at the beginning snd then everything click Into place halfway through.
But my lord, 'I loved having friends' absolutely broke me. I'll probably still be thinking about this character for a while.

Why is it over. I don't want to be over. I had high expectations but this book met them! And the Queer romance my lord was refreshing.
Loved linus as a protagonist, though Arthur could be a little too perfect sometimes the romance was adorable and their back and forth was amazing.
All the characters were amazing!! Honestly I love this book so much

This got me laughing in the first 30 minutes or so. I listened to the audio book of the TV cast and they added so much character to the story! It kept me curious, entertained and happy.
The illustrations are beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous. The only downside I found when reading to my class is that they knew the bear hunt really well, and since some of the narrative is the same it threw them off while joining in. But I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars, because although not a lot happens the writing is beautiful. I wasn't sure where this story was going - but i feel the point was in the telling, the lessons learnt.
Wasn't my usual read, but oddly entertaining! As per usual, Grady Hendrix captivates me with their masterful narrative. Despite this not being my usual read I did enjoy this! The ending did have me a little emotional, and a bit confused. But overall I enjoyed it, despite it being a little weird
