This book needs a time out. I was lucky enough that the author of the book did a reading (if you haven't seen Robert Munsch read his own books, you are missing out) as a kid. I got this book as an adult as a baby shower present when I was pregnant with my first child. Oh yes this book is what every sleep deprived new mom hormoning right out needs in their life. Sobbing to your tiny baby at three AM.
Oh this book brings back memories. I used my own money to get this book from the book fair at school. I read it millions of times and loved it. I saved it and it became one of my daughters favourite books for me to read it her.
This is another classic must read to your kids books! It isn't one I read as a child (or at least remember), but I got it as a present for my daughter for her baby shower. It's a gem!
This book is the best. Definitely my favourite Munsch book. I got to see him read it live as a kid and he is the best narrator of his own books. A female lead that doesn't need to be saved by a boy! Read to all the kids in your life for sure!
Isn't this just the narration of every parent's life when you are potty training? You ask and ask, do you have to go? Then suddenly it's an emergency right when they can't go immediately lol. My kids both found this book funny and it gave them the giggles.
This is going to be the book that my son reads to his kids when he grows up. We started our Sandra Boynton book collection with Happy Hippy Angry Duck which my daughter loved. My son, however, needed this book read to him on a regular basis at bedtime. He even managed to basically memorize read the book back to us at a very young age. All Sandra Boynton's books are fantastic, but this one holds a special memory with my son.
I saw someone on Tiktok talk about the audio book version of this book and jumped on it. I am not huge on childhood friends to lovers, but this was fantastic. The narration really made the book 100x more enjoyable for me. Duel narration is really the way to go with books like this. I enjoyed both main characters and found their connection believable! The spice was a perfect level, not cringy or over the top.
I have been looking forward to getting back to Cambric Creek for so long and was so happy to jump back in. Do I now have a moth-man kink? Possibly, but I am okay with it. I love these books and the guaranteed happily ever after. Our nerdy science love interest was adorable and the main character Grace didn't drive me nuts. This is still a 5 star read for me but I did enjoy Morning Glory Milking Farm more (but I would give that book 6 stars if I could).
I was hoping this series would hook me in like other paranormal romances normally do but it was just okay. It was a quick read, but I am sure if I will read more from the series. None of the main characters hooked me and made me want to read more of the series. Spice was just okay.
I have to start this off with normally I am not into why choose romances. I was also under the impression that this series was really spicy and there was nothing in this book. I am not taking anything off from that because I do love a slow burn so much and that has made me want to read more of this series (which is actually a bonus). This book has great tension and I like Oleander so far. I don't really like any of the men yet but I am holding out that the plot will make things more clear and clear somethings up. I read this book in a day and I am definitely continuing to read this series for sure!
