Felt like this book had all the components to make me love it - but it just fell short. Undoubtedly brilliantly written, with some beautiful lines and the history/themes explored were what drew me to this in the first place. Perhaps some of it was lost on me through audiobook, but felt like a lots of it didn't really land and I wasn't as emotionally caught up in the story as I could have been. May give this another go as think it had great potential, but for a short read it felt a bit of a slog.

This warmed my heart so much - bit tropey (would have loved it even more if it wasn't one being super big/stronger than the other) but decided I didn't care in the end because it made me feel all of the feels. Wonderfully done 🥰
