Maybe my expectations were too high, given all the hype around this book. I love a good feminist dystopian story, and this one seemed particularly plausible, but I couldn’t get past the jerky, trying-too-hard-to-be-poetic language and the cliches within some of the female relationships.

So hard to put into words how great this book is. Beyond an entertaining story idea, there are so many layers of interpretation and satire. Even just the one word of the title can be interpreted in so many different ways. LOVE.

In a word: devastating. Read if you want your heart to break a thousand times.
