This was an amazing book! The perfect combination between being swooned, stressed, and frustrated to make it impossible to stop reading until I finished! A very slow burn, but a great one at that!

**I received this book as an ARC in return for my honest review**

If you’re looking for a good suspenseful story with some romance woven in it, this is the series for you! The push and pull of Deke and Charlotte is a big part of the book, but the trouble in town was the main reason for me to keep on reading. There is so much happening, and the tension of the case will have you on the edge of your seat! Even though this book can definitely be read as a standalone, it’s easy enough to catch up on what’s happening, I do think it would have liked it even more if I read the other books as well.

The story grabbed me from page 1 and suddenly it was 3am and I finished the book. It’s a very intense read about learning to love yourself again, and I love how Grady and Dylan help each other with that. They both struggle with their body image, and that’s affecting their lives in negative ways. I’m never a big fan of stories where communication isn’t really happening, but in this case it made total sense to me with everything they were dealing with.

The survivor’s guilt that Grady was dealing with made my heart ache for him, I can’t even imagine how the burden can cripple someone’s ability to continue their life. It was a beautiful book about loss, grief, acceptance, and finding love when you least expect it.

Tucker made it easy for me to read this book, I wanted to finish the series. We already learned about the pregnancy in The Score, so I went in not expecting much. I just don’t like the unplanned/surprise pregnancy trope, mostly for the lack of communication that seems to go hand in hand. I’m glad Tucker knew immediately, but I still don’t like how Sabrina and he didn’t talk about anything. I got frustrated after reading so often that she didn’t deserve him, how she was ruining his life, without having any indication this was true. I can understand where she’s coming from with her past, but assuming never leads to anything good. I loved how all the guys were with the baby, so cute!

Some books grab your heart and soul, smash it in thousands of pieces, and slowly put them back together again. Eastern Lights is one of those books, in the best way possible. I can’t quite describe how it is, it’s a book you just have to give in to and experience. A beautiful story about love, fear, hope, acceptance, and how life sometimes just isn’t fair. I love the idea of flashes of love, it’s such a positive way of living, and everybody can benefit from that!

This book started as a great, fun, flirty, steamy read, and then it went on to rip my heart out and stomp on it. My heart broke for Dean and Allie, life got so real so sudden.

This was such an easy read, time flew by so quickly. The story deals with such heavy topics, but there’s a great balance with fun moments, steamy moments. I’m starting to repeat myself with Elle Kennedy books, but if I need to be sure I’m going to have a good time, I know that’ll be the case with any of her books!

I’m repeating myself with this series, but I absolutely loved this book. It has the most suspense of them all, with the mystery unraveling a last, and there’s so many twists and turns left that I never could have predicted it all! This book is about grief, fear, hope, power, and most of all about love. I’m so sad I finished the series, but at the same time I’m so happy to have gone on this rollercoaster Bootleg adventure!
