This book took my by storm, I don't know what I expected but it wasn't what I read. I loved every word of it. This book has such a powerful story and characters behind it that I really wish could've been explored more. Even though I have several ethical issues with the book, mostly the age gap, I can't deny the brilliance of it. Reading this book I couldn't put my pen or highlighter down and some of those quotes will now be apart of me for the rest of my life. I have to be honest, at first I only read it because of the success of the movie, but in comparison, the movie is nothing. The words, the emotions, everything feels so raw. I really hope more people read this than watch it as the book is something entirely different and so so beautiful.

Great story, I love the flip of narrative and all the story/word play Naomi Alderman does. The story telling adds to the complexity of the issues this novel faces, a different kind of dystopian fiction, but one I think was needed after all the years of women's oppression.
