The book is a bit too dark and slow for me. It covers topics that are triggering like detention, miscarriages and it's a little bit slow.

First of all, this is a cozy mystery. I think Mrs. Sharon's writing style is new to me, it's entirely written in a gossip point of view. The whole story is founded on a lie
that  P.B. Harrington, cheated on his wife with Millie and in his death bed he told her that he loved her more than Millie. So our lead, Sarah sets out to investigate.
What I find funny is how justified the lead, feels about investigating this issue, which is none of her business. It is so cringy how it comes up throughout the entire story even though the widow in the story finally gets behind the investigation. For someone who hates her life being poked at, she sure does like poking into others'. But that is what a small town is I guess.
Overally it's a great story, a nice ending and honestly, romantic.
